[E-mail] Tara at Gold Mine Hotel

Here's an email I sent to Tara (staffSPLATgoldminehotel.com):
Quote:
Hi Tara,
I'm a member of an amateur paranormal investigations group. We have only been organized for a few months now, but we've already conducted several hauntings investigations. We're always looking for new sites to check out. Here's where it gets weird. I'm not usually clairvoyant, but when I first visited your website I had the distinct feeling that your hotel has a history that needs to be told.

We would love the opportunity to visit the Gold Mine Hotel for a 24 hour period before it opens to conduct an investigation of the site. We have all of our own equipment, and the investigation won't cost you anything. On the contrary, the possibility of publicity that could come from a paranormal investigation could help attract interest.

If it's not possible for us to do an on-site investigation, it may be possible for us to investigate remotely. We would appreciate any assistance you could provide in this regard. Do you have any old photographs of the hotel? Do you know anything about its history, or even the history of Gold Hill? Specifically, names and dates can be very useful. Would it be possible for you to send us any artifacts from the hotel? We would gladly pay for shipping and return the item(s) as soon as possible.

Thank you for your time. I look forward to hearing from you.

I'm really just feeling around for more of the history and clues on what we should be looking for.

Wow! That was fast. I got a reply already. Unfortunately, it was a bounce. I double checked the address and sent again, and it bounced again. Sad

I went ahead an left a message on their voice mail about it. Hopefully someone will fix it soon.

Cool beans on the idea for which to contact 'staff' at the hotel.

Location: over there....no, a little further...

So I figured since Nogwater has already hit Tara with a supernatural angle I'd try a little more obscure one...

Hi there!

My name is ------- and I wanted to
compliment you on your beautiful hotel!! I'm curious
about the hotel's former life, I noticed that it's
been remodeled and is to be reopened. When was the
hotel open previously and was it under a different
name? I ask only because my grandparents loved the
desert and that on their honeymoon they had
vacationed around some various parts areas of Nevada.
Since it's their 50th anniversary coming in the next
year I'd like to do something really special and was
thinking that your hotel would be the ticket,
especially if they had stayed at the Goldmine's
previous embodiment.

Thanks for your time!
-----

I'm thinking that if the hotel did have any other titles or insidious history they wouldn't attatch it to the current form. Plus, any date on when they closed could lead us closer to infrasound or something (if it pans out, that is) Wink
