Ouch, that was one hot axon

Today Ariock and I went around downtown SF scoping out the Princess pay phones that begin tomorrow.

Just because life is better when an axon goes hot, we decided to activate the i_hate_you one at 4:17 pm. The phone was on Market, just east of Stockton, in front of Virgin Records. There were two pay phones. We tested them and though neither rang, both worked. We each took a phone, mine facing west, Ariock's facing east, and waited (these phone are rather popular with the non-cell phone crowd, so we were being vigilant, each keeping a hand on the receiver until 4:17). Since the ringers did not work, right at 4:17, I counted 7 seconds and we each picked up our respective receivers. Mine was the one. The answer was her real name, Melissa.

Whether it matters or not, it felt good to activate it!

The queen must produce some substance that attracts the workers and that can be obtained from her only by direct contact. This substance stimulates the normal working behavior in the hive. This chemical messenger has been called "queen substance." Experiments have shown that the bees obtain it directly from the body of the queen.

I'm a new player in Colorado, where you all seem to need a little help. I'll be hitting axons in Longmont and Boulder this week. Someone has hit scattered locations in both cities in previous weeks, but it wasn't me.

I'd love to know if anyone else is working Boulder County- I have exact locations for all the axons this week.

wrong thread, please don't tell me you are looking at the hivekuts list. Hopefully you are looking at the axon list from the ROUND 6 thread that is stickied up above?

And [search] for posts that discuss Colorado to find a few people who have been doing them. After a big initial push I don't think we've been doing so well in Colorado, so welcome!!!
