For those that missed it, I put up the novel of today's hunt here. This only covers what I saw today, of course.

Fun day. =p

Props to AlienDial, INCyr, and StarCreator for going out of their way to cover axons last tuesday, we got 16 of 34, and three live calls! INCyr took a live call from Melissa at Union Station, and Lt. Star Creator got on the crew. Unfortunately the operator only gave us 20 seconds to get the relay code, so we failed the task even though we did get the right code (just not in time). We had a similar situation for the first live call at Georgetown Cinema, but we got a second live call a few minutes later and finished the relay task. I took that one, which turned out to be the swing of the executioner's axe for the sleeping princess!
The DC Reference Page has been updated. Note that there will likely be calls (the last batch?) on Sunday.

Great work, despite being shorthanded this week, everyone. Special kudos to Chappy who oversaw the rm -rf of the Princess and StarCreator and INCyr who played with fire and came into the City after dark.

Hope to see you on Sunday for the last dance.

And! Sunday a week hence for the Halo 2 preview thingy for Inside Source.

Again, if you're coming to Poker Friday, PM INCyr. Bring a good attitude and some cashola. I'll handle the chips and the table.

Yours in getting screwed by the PMs,
Tom Bridge, CPO

Yeah, the inside source bit is still screwing me over. It's still telling me I'm already registered, while not being able to find my e-mail address.

And yes, we still want more people for Poker! THIS MEANS YOU!

If you're free friday night, and feel like making some cash, and having a good time with the rest of your beekeeper peeps, drop me a PM and I'll tell you where! BYOB and Snacks, and we'll provide everything else!

As I've said outside the forums, can't make it to poker or do anything on Sunday, as I'll be heading out of town Saturday morning for the weekend.

If there will be crew calls this Sunday, hopefully we'll get an update before I leave.

Starcreator:

Poker is TONIGHT. Not this weekend. Hence, you'll still be in town, so you might as well join us! Wink

On another note... anyone else from DC planning on making it to NYC for the training? I'm planning on going, but if someone else is as well, we might as well join forces and see what we can figure out.

Anyone? DC needs to represent!

NYC clearly needs the Master Chief. As it happens, I already had a trip to California booked for next weekend, getting in early on Thursday and supposed to head up to Napa for a social thing before the business stuff in the morning. I just changed my social plans. Smile

But the rest of y'all - roundtrip on the train is cheap! The only problem is whether there will be trains leaving around 1-2 AM, which is when you MIGHT be done. There used to be an overnight train/sleeper that you board any time after like 12, but it didn't leave until about 2, got to DC early the next morning in time for work. Dunno if that's still part of the schedule.

Roundtrip train is actually around $175 at the moment.

Roundtrip plane on the Delta shuttle is around $120.

Tolls are $50 on the road, plus around $50 in gas, and $20 in parking.

Sadly, not something I can do right now.

Tom

I wish I could go Sad If it was Friday, I could move meetings around, but Thursday makes it ugly. I've got to have part of the site I'm developing up and running by Friday, and skipping out of work before the deadline isn't going to happen. Honestly, who plans these things for Thursday? <evil monkey in the closet points at PMs>

At least with the train you can avoid the expensive cab ride from the airport. If you're a AAA member, Amtrak offers discounts too. Play with departure times to see if you can improve on the cost if you want to go.

Anyway, what time is poker tonight?

I'll be home around 6ish, so anytime after 7, really. Whenever you guys want to show up is good with us.

And do we want to plan on doing food here? Or would you guys rather grab a bite before you head over? We can order papa johns or something...

Better question, should I bring beer?

This is rough (didn't wait for darkforge to post his). We need to plan how to cover the important ones. We need some of our occasional players to cover some of these groups! My plan - focus on the groups; clearly we are meant to get those. If we can get some solos great but not critical. Washington Harbor has 2 for kakashi.

UNION STATION (at least 2, better 3 or 4):
11:00-11:05-11:20-11:25-11:40-11:50-11:55-12:00-12:10-12:15-12:45-12:50-13:15(9 times)-13:20(10 times)-13:25(10 times)-13:35(10 times)-13:40(10 times)

MALL (at least 2 people):
Federal Ctr SW - 12:55
Smithsonian - 12:45-12:50-12:55-13:00-13:15 (one of those might be wrong)
Carousel - 12:50
14th&Const - 13:00
13th&Jefferson - 13:10-13:30-14:00
Natural History - 13:15-14:10
12th&CWest - 13:45
12th&CEast - 13:10

MALL NORTH (no worry - museums closed by these times):
National Building Museum - 13:30
National Gallery - 13:35

SINGLES:

GW - 12:25

Vermont - 12:40

Georgetown Cinema - 12:40

Conn&K - 13:40

Washington Harbour - 14:05-14:10

Silver Spring - 13:25

VIRGINIA (2 people):
Wendy's - 12:10
Ballston - 13:30-14:00-14:05-14:10
Spout Run - 13:35-13:40-13:45
