Is anyone here going up to NYC on Thursday? I have school off Friday and was wondering if anyone else might be going.

Are you 17? Or can you bring a parent? (But no, I'm not going.)

Yeah I can bring a parent, plus I'm seventeen, so no worries there. But I don't think I can go anyways, it'd be too much of a bother just to play Halo 2 multiplayer a few days before I actually get it. I just wanted to see who else was going.

Not trying to steal your thunder, Zombi, but I did one for myself, and it was easier to share than that than worry about sending you images. I used a very high resolution version of the logo (about 3300x3300), so the items shoudn't look pixelated. Basically I had to get myself a clock... it's just too good a match between product and image Smile. Note that I used a modified logo that is DC-specific. If anyone wants a version without that, or with an American Flag in its place, or an image on a different item, just let me know and I"ll create it. (Actually I've already got a version with the flag, since that was a lot easier to illustrate than the capital dome Smile ).

I'm headed to NYC, and I believe Cortana is trying to get his job to send him up there.

About an hour into work yesterday I said to myself, "f*ck it. I'm going." Mailed Dana, got a confirmation, got train tickets, and now I'll be there. It's going to be ugly getting everything done at work, but there's a comfy couch in the break room.

I'll see you there, Ian! And maybe we'll both "see" Aliendial in SF during the excercise. Mike, Tom, join us... What's two 14+ hour days and a train ticket in the big picture? Smile

edit - deleted triple post. AD

How many can you get before you have to catch your train? That will be the test. These axons go until almost 5 our time.

I will be on a plane and then on the ground in SF, fortunately before my personal call. As a consequence no help at all on the rest of the DC axons. And as I scan the very short list I see old familiar faces; incl. a clump at Union Station.

So the call goes out to those in town until 5 on Thursday - got axons?

But no pressure - see next message from me. Most of the work is in the personal calls. If you want to meet up with anybody, then Union Station is a good bet. I would not go out of my way to try to get the others unless they are VERY convenient for you Thursday afternoon.

So that leaves Cortana (if you can't wangle the trip)? (I'd go to our other stalwart Mike_Was, but he's moving and pretty much OOG at this point.)(Araden is getting married and hence is not invited - go do family stuff! Except for your personal call, of course.)

Kakashi? zombi? secondrunner? StarCreator? Paul?

Other names we've heard but not seen at axons - number_12? airscottie? gottalovett? daemonspawn? Phatalerror? DoctorFu?

If the times are right, they go hot AS I'm getting on my train.

Literally... union station is ~2pm, and my train leaves at 2:05. Sucks, don't it?

I interpret this as an invitation to go to Union Station again; get the others if they are convenient, but don't go all out. Clearly our major contribution here will be with the personal calls.

Guys, check out http://ilovebees.blogspot.com/. This Sunday, 3pm, Georgetown Cinema. Be there! There doesn't appear to be a signup, so we might want to arrive early. Fortunately I don't think there are more than 50 of us, lurkers included.

As I posted to the mailing list, there's also a spot in Vienna, for those of us who don't want to deal with downtown...
