As crfets said above, Kamal skipped over the fourth cranial nerve; trochlear.
That leads me to think, he's either not a very good medical resident, or just a very nervous one.
This reminded me of the missing chapter in the SP story, and the hidden recipe3 page; so I tried trochlear as a wav, just in case....only to discover that I'm longing for a puzzle.

It's entirely possible that he momentarily forgot (in his nervousness) which cranial nerve was the code word, so he just started reciting the whole list. By the time he'd reached oculomotor, though, he remembered it was trigeminal, and so went straight to that. Heh, maybe reciting cranial nerves is a good way for a medical student to relax.

I thought it was only "cranial nerves" that comprised the codeword? So it doesn't matter which he says. Trigeminal is a very distinct word, so maybe he skipped straight to that.
