If I understood correctly, both red and blue buttons set the office under fire allert.

Quote:
That would've pushed the officer under fire alert to my chatter, which was plan A for if Aiden tried to, you know...

Blue would bring the cops to Kamal location, in case Aiden tried anything,
since he didn't trust Aiden.

Red would bring the cops to Hiro location, which happened in the end.

Is that how you guys understand as well?[/quote]

I think the red button sets it off wherever it is currently set and the blue is a transfer button. So the blue button would "push" it to Kamal, then the red would set it off. Just pressing the red sets it off at Hiro's location.

Transcript of Blue_the_red since some ppl dont have sound in #bk

Quote:
*wind up*

Aiden: I'm gonna check on Sophie in the kitchen. Let me get you another beer, dude. Be right back.

Kamal: You there?

Hiroyuki: *on chatter* I'm here...dude. It's raining. I'm getting wet.

Kamal: So, cranial nerves, you hit the buttons.

Hiroyuki: Blue, then red.

Kamal: Yeah. Blue, then red. I think. Yes.

Aiden: Good to have you over. Good for Soph. Someone from home.

Kamal: Thank you. It's nice to be invited.

Aiden: Dinner was good, huh? She's a good cook.

Kamal: Very good. The keftedes may be the best I've ever had.

Aiden: Which was that?

Kamal: The lamb meatballs.

Aiden: Oh, yeah. I liked those. Home cooking. So your parents are trying to get here.

edit: removed duplicate transcript and fixed kefta/keftedes

What is it he says?

"So, <something>, you hit the buttons."

Sounds like "cranial nerves". What could that mean?

Presumably something to do with the codeword trigeminal etc.

The reason he says 'blue, then red' could just be reaffirming the order (plan A, plan B)...

Since the other axons didn't go hot, here is the best recording I could get. It plays twice and there was less traffic the 2d time, but I don;t know if any of it will be useful. from our phone right on a street.

http://homepage.mac.com/vortech/bees/Anything_illegal.amr

The phone records in .amr Right click to download, plays in Quicktime.

If you want I'll make a .wav when I have more time.

That was awful fast... here's awful_fast...

Quote:
(Jazz music still playing)

Jersey: Bees?

Durga: Yes.

Jersey: Why?

Durga: I don't know.

Jersey: That's like... creepy.

Durga: Yes.

Jersey: This is more reflection stuff, isn't it?

Durga: Yes.

Jersey: (laughs) When I was little, we had this mirror in the bathroom. I used to hide behind the
door and jump out and see if I could catch my reflection doing something *interesting*.

Durga: Startle it.

Jersey: Well, before it had time to just, you know, mirror me.

Durga: You think that's what I'm doing?

Jersey: Well, the thing is - you have to jump out awful fast.

Durga: Yes.

(chair sound and footsteps - Jersey gets up and walks around)

Jersey: I gotta tell ya, I feel kinda weird about listening to this stuff about Jan. I mean, I'm
kinda wondering if you can do a little back scan on the chick down the hall, and all of a
sudden you're drilling into hardened police emergency channels and...

Durga: So you don't want any more material on Janissary James? (bit of a weird stereo shift here... Durga's voice seems to cross the room after Jersey)

Jersey: No... I mean, yeah... well, I mean, what ya got?

I noticed the stero shift on Durga's voice. I'm wondering how that would sound on a surround sound system.

Does anyone have a transcript for anything_illegal? Can't install quicktime at work ...

whoa

so Durga is getting information about bees when she tried to look at herself.

[Spec]

the mirror is some kind of condiut connecting Melissa and Druga. Melissa can access Durga from our time (that's how we're getting these clips)

and now it seems Durga can access Melissa from her time.

hmmm

Seems like the SPECing that Jersey was listening in to what was happening with Jan was indeed correct--he heard the stuff at the military base. But are we to assume that he also heard the conversations at the police station and in the car?

My first inclination is to say "no", but given what we know about the chatternet, I think it's a distinct possibility.

Thanks. Personally, I still can't make out what it says, but the guys in #bk suggested kafta which is why I went with that. Edited above.
