I couldn't open that "anything_illegal.amr" in my version of Quicktime. I'm downloading an update for Realplayer that supposedly will play it, so I'll post a transcript as soon as I can.

Edit - Not worth posting a transcript. All I can make out is some sirens at the start, then a lot that I can't hear, then about halfway in someone yells "Drop the weapon!!!" (stupid_cop guy?) and then there are shots fired.

Sophia is traditionally an eastern european name, so probably yes.

to_do seems to remain cold ... Crying or Very sad I was eagerly expecting this, since supposedly shows someone being tortured! Anyone have a transcript of to_do?

so Durga is getting information about bees when she tried to look at herself.

the mirror is some kind of condiut connecting Melissa and Druga. Melissa can access Durga from our time (that's how we're getting these clips)

and now it seems Durga can access Melissa from her time.

hmmm

This is the first thing that makes complete sense to me. She is a reflection of Melissa, or Melissa is a reflection of Durga. Either way, it seems to explain to me a. why she can't look at herself and b. her bringing up bees at such an odd time.

I took the call yesterday. The beginning is the sounds of something being hit and pleading screams from the woman. It's either a recording or a chatter hack, because the cop turns it off and Jan says, "what to you need me to do?"

In light of recent information, it is not someone being tortured though, it is that guy (DRT) beating his girlfriend.

Re: the recording of the guy beating up his gf. StupidCop probably plays this to Jan in order to get her to help out. StupidCop kills the guy, Jan backs him up as an innocent bystander witness who can pass the PQI test under pressure.

But I don't think StupidCop wants to kill this guy just cos he hits women. The line at the end of "creamsicle", when Jan says: "well, now -I- know something, you gonna kill me too?", suggests that StupidCop wants him dead because he knows too much about something.

She's actually Coral-an. Besides that, her last name is like 'Basaran'? Is that Greek?

Can we make a topic with just the transcripts as they come in, and no discussion? It's hard to pick them out of the various threads, and it would be nice to read the transcripts before reading the dicussion about them. (I'm with the "can't listen at work" crowd.)

Edit: On that note, thebruce hasn't been around lately, has he? I just checked out his page, but there weren't any updates. I hope he wasn't feeling unappreciated!

Exactly! How hard is it to fake a beating on an audio medium like chatternet. One guy hits a bag, and a woman screams for him to stop. Jan fell for it.

He's on holiday. Regarding a thread of just transcripts, one step ahead of you, buddy Very Happy

No, it's Turkish.
So the food would be "Kofta", which matches the pronunciation on the audio clip.
