 		Sounds like red is connected to my_family. It appears to be more of Hiroyoki (sp?) and Kamal. And Aiden.

So Kamal got Aiden to smuggle Kamal's family to earth, got caught doing something illegal, and the cop is at Aiden's place when J^2 is shot just a block and a half away?

Edit - Don't forget the reference to red vs. blue in this one. Probably OOG though.

Agent under fire...
standard_procedure is after someone pulled a gun...

Could this be the start of the stories overlapping (Jan and Kemal in this case)?

edit and I don't buy that JJ is dead. Jan is not broken up enough about it.

 		I think RED makes it seem more that a cop was shot, not J2. The cop in RED says "officer under fire" just before he leaves.

Also, the two events are happening less than 2 blocks from each other. Think the stories will intersect soon?

edit: Looks like truegent was thinking the same thing at the same time. But types faster....

and yes I think it's the same cop who gave her the pqi - in accessorize he asked for her name and she said "what? you know my... Janissary James..." (sorry, forgot to mention that)

 		In "red", it sounds to me like the word "Red" is used as a previously agreed-upon signal that would notify the "behind the scenes guy" (Hiro? Kamal?) to hack the police chatter and tell him that a shooting had just occurred. Maybe in "blue_then_red" they will discuss and agree on the signal ahead of time?

The officer was "under fire", not shot. Most likely whoever was with Jan James was firing at the officer, the officer returned fire and killed the suspect. Hence, the suspect is the one DRT and Jan is making a statement about it.

 		Kamal is with Aiden somewhere. Hiroyoki is talking to Kamal over the chatternet. "Red" is obviously they're code word for abort or something like that. For some reason, a cop has shown up where Aiden and Kamal are meeting and was asking to see some ID. That's what I'm getting from it, at least.

 		No one really gets shot. The red clip must come right before "dude" which I heard today. Aiden presses the red button (hence the red curtian thing) kamal was cluing him in to the right button. Wherver the red button is, it acts like a all points bulliton for cop under fire when pressed. Aiden presses it as a distraction to get the cops away from kamal.
I just cant figure out how they are communicating. Aiden is obviusly whereve the red and blue buttons are. Cuase he presses the red one to get the cop outta there.

I thought that chater net access was via some kind of implant. If so how would one 'confiscate' it? Or is this future slang for copying log files or blocking your implant from the rest of chatter net (kind of an /ignore or /mute)?
