you're not imagining things, because i used (and abused) the spoilers yesterday to see the final result.

You can't "accidentally" highlight this spoiler

Okay, I seem to have figured out a few dependencies here...

* The Windmill (3rd left) powers all the other items on the Sphere, but needs to be boosted by the Tornado (4th right). The Tornado moves into place on its 3rd level-up, and the Windmill will be destroyed by the Windmill if it is any lower than its 3rd level-up. I am not yet certain if everything needs the power of the boosted Windmill, so assume it does until stated otherwise.

* Placing the Ring (bottom right) is essential for powering up the Cog (2nd left) and the Dish (4th left). The Ring activates on its first level-up to launch the red Sphere.

* The Pipe (top left) produces bubbles on its first level-up (regardless of the state of the Windmill), but it will only level-up after the Mountains (5th right) have undergone their first level-up. The bubbles then form a raincloud over the Mountain. Once the Ball (2nd right) achieves its 6th level-up, it dries up the cloud ane the Mountains become fertile. On their next level-up, they form a lake around the Pipe. If the Windmill is already boosted by the Tornado, the Ball undergoes a final level-up into a moon. Otherwise, it remains as it is (even once the Windmill is boosted) and a small forest grows around the lake. The Pipe then undergoes one final level-up into a bloom.
The other evolution of the Mountains occurs if the Windmill has achieved its second level-up or higher when the Pipe produces the bubbles. In this case, the bubbles are blown away and the Mountains become barren, erupting with lava and eventually forming a pool of lave around the Pipe. Not sure yet whether the lava pool affects/is affects by the Ball or the boosted Windmill (or anything else, for that matter).
Furthermore, if the Tornado destroys the Windmill before the Pipe produces the bubbles, the bubbles will be sucked into the Tornado and form a mask, which (so far) does not seem to react with anything else. this also prevents the other items from gaining power from the boosted Windmill, limiting their evolution.

* The Box (top right) undergoes 7 level-ups to form a robot, but in order to be completed requires the Ladder (bottom left) to have undergone at least 4 level-ups. Once the robot is complete, an alien descends the ladder, and merges with the robot on the next turn.

* The Dish is extended on its first level-up, and begins receiving "transmissions" on its second level-up, but it requires both the the boosted Windmill and the levelled-up Ring. Once receiving, it connects with the Screen (3rd right) to produce images.

That's all I've managed to deduce so far. I don't know what the Cog does yet, or the Egg (5th left) although I do know it hatches on its 5th level-up to produce a sleeping blob creature.

Anybody else discovered anything from this (amazing addictive) little distraction?

I'm really close to beating it, I can get everything to be max lvl at one time except for the egg. BTW the sun doesn't turn into the moon via the windmill. It only turns into the moon if grow blasts off after the ball has lvled up into the sun.

Another solution

Apparently there are multiple solutions. Here's one that works for me:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Egg
Box
Ladder
Sun
Mountain
Pipe
Propeller
tornado
gear
dish
thruster
screen

What's with the pictures and numbers that scroll across the screen when completed?
