I will not be able to make it up to seattle on thrusday so i will be here. I can take any of the axons, looks like either 82nd or if someone else is going to get it, and if Archon is not going to be able to take 23rd, i can hit that one.

Hey portland area axon hunters whats up, I would just like to suggest if you want to get together and play some whoopass multiplayer Halo 2 we can all meet at this LAN center my friend and I opened in downtown vancouver. We have 14 system linked X-boxes and we will have enough copies of halo 2 to satisfy everyone! Not to mention other cool stuff like DDR and Air Hockey/Foosball/Board Games and Steel Batallion etc.
We're right across the I5 bridge in downtown vancouver if you want to meet on Saturday it is $10 for a day pass and it is always a blast. I may be able to swing us a deal too if I can get enough people to commit to comming down on saturday. Our address is 808 Main St. Vancouver, WA if you want more info go to our website www.tldm.net

Please leave a message here or pm me and we will arrange a time to meet.

Oh yeah we will also be having a big party the night Halo2 is released it will run from 8:00 P.M. on November 8th(Mon) and last till Noon on November 9th(Tues). Bring some comfortable clothes and we will provide the couches. Not that any one is actually going to sleep or anything =P

Unfortunately, I have class 11-noon and lab 1-4, so I can only get my cell phone. Sorry.

I checked the axon list, and they have not changed for today; and each group has the same label, "!transmit truth"... Surprised

Anyway, I guess Vec and I will be getting most of the axons today. Y'all have fun in class! We'll be trudging around answering payphones...

(p.s. Thanks Feros, but unfortunately, I can't make it out to Vancouver...)

The Last Eugene axon goes off at 12:07 in the Valley River Mall.
It's over my lunch time, so I'll go out and get it, for old time's sake. Maybe I'll meet you there Qingu?

My personal call was just the clip, without any questions.

Wish I could make it up to Portland to socialize with all you rabid axoneers. It truely takes a special person to hunt down a payphone just to hear an automated message with the slight possibility of role-playing for five minutes with a live operator. I know it hooked me.

I hope we all can get those DVD compilations, too. We have to write to danatwingSPLATgmail.com after 6:00 pm PST, right?

Your man in Eugene,

slacktron

BEHOLD: DVD PICKUP DATE IS NOW NOV. 4th!

DVD pickup time is now 18:00 PST.

Also, Dana has added a note saying that all requests for a mailed DVD should be sent in after the training exercise on Nov. 4th.

Also, regarding Thursday's axons... in order to keep a prior obligation, I will have to get only the two downtown axons (7 and 9). Will anybody else volunteer for axons, please please please?

Cherry, just to make sure you know, the 6 and oak is really on 6th and stark. and the phone would not pick up on sunday, just ring and rung. but maybe they fixed it.

Odd thing: I actually missed the call on my phone; I was talking to someone and didn't hear it go off. (Don't know why, the ringer was on.) But the axon went hot anyway. And it went on my voicemail. Go figure.

Heh, no password required. All you (or your vm) had to do was answer! Kudos! Very Happy

Cell phone reception at PCC is spotty at best, so I took it upon myself to run up to the highest hill I could find, with the bestest reception I could get... and JUST when the clock hits 10:20 the phone reception cuts out for like 3 seconds as I hop to the highest point on campus, which is not a good place to be when you're skipping class to get a phone call (please don't do as I do).

Thankfully, my voicemaill got it. [homestar]We're saved![/homestar]

Heck yea! I think Vector is going to be out of town this weekend so we were thinking about sometime a little later in the month. Maybe we could coordinate with Feros to have dinner and then head over to his console arcade for some multiplayer Halo 2 after it's released?

(see page 17) I wanna have one on the weekend after Halo 2 comes out... if any of us have a DVD by then, we can play it at that time. Archon seems to be on board (thanks!).

Of course, date/time/location/concept/reconciliation-of-quantum-physics-with-Einstein's-theory-of-relativity are all open to discussion. (My house has a good size TV room for Halo-ing, so I'll volunteer that space.)

Finally... WE SAVED THE WORLD! Yayyy! ^_^

I've already got an Xbox and will be getting my Halo 2 (SPECIAL EDITION) midnight this Tuesday, so I'd rather just use my stuff at a LAN rather than head up to Vancouver if that's okay by everyone. If we can't meet somewhere else, I'd go there, but I can't really think of a good place to have the party off the top of my head.

Sadly, I have no car, so if we were to have a party in Vancouver I'd need a ride... But Feros's place does sound extra extra neat.

Oh, and SpaceBass, I didn't realize you had beaten me to replying to Jes's inquiry... so sorry about that Smile

Here's how it looks so far:

Feros: Has a nifty place in Vancouver
SpaceBass: Can hop over to Vancouver for gaming goodness
Vector: May also be able to hop over to Vancouver for gaming goodness
Archon: Prefers to stay in Portland for his gaming goodness
Cherry: Volunteers her living room. Can take the bus to anywhere in Portland, but would need a ride to Vancouver
Jes: Asks a question and two of us jump on it
Origen: Is totally invited and should speak up
Slacktron and Qingu: Would be really cool to meet there as well
Scully: Should show her face, shy girl! Smile
Two if by: Sea
All your base are: Belong to us

..you get the idea.

Yay! Very Happy

(I think I should bother my mom to get us key lime pie and some lemonade labeled "Parabolic Lemonade Failure...")
