** WHERE WE CAN HELP **

There are 2 AXONs that can help unlock wave files. I think we should put a higher priority on those. They are:

15:35 || raining cops || SE 44th and Woodstock
16:29 || real || NW 23rd and Lovejoy

The 15:35 one is at the phone that gives error 48 for incoming calls. It might still be worth a try however because somehow Melissa gets though to us. Perhaps we just need to be really loud so that she can hear us. We could only hope.

The 16:29 one has 3 phones at that site. Cherry already tried the one on the SE corner. There are two phones on the NW corner, those are probably the ones that will ring. It would help to have two people to cover all the phones, and perhaps more to see if there are others around.

I can't really go phone hunting again until the weekend comes along.

(edit: Most of this is redundant. If I had read ten pixels further in the above post, I would have realized that he already covered this ground. But, uh, I was hungry. Sorry!)

...Sadly, 44th and Woodstock remains broken. 'Tis the "Error 48" one at Pappucino's. I tried it yesterday; but it wasn't all a bust, I got to read comic books while I waited ^_^

"Real" rings in an hour. I was going to go today, but I was hungry. It's the one that rings at 23rd and Lovejoy at 16:29.

There are three phones at that intersection, one at the southeast corner, and two at the northwest corner. The two at the northwest corner are at the same terminal and are back-to-back. I made a split-second decision and ran to the corner with only one phone (yeah, that was dumb) and it never rang, although I was there three minutes early. (Some of them, however, seem to ring even earlier than three minutes... oogh)

So, there you have it. Does anybody want to visit this area on Saturday? I'd say tomorrow, but I need a break from all the axon-hunting... but, if it's better for y'all, I'll certainly come out tomorrow since we still need to cover that Plaid Pantry %^*9@$! swarm-of-payphones axon.

Axons-go-hotly,

Cherry

(Just to toot my own horn, my contribution yesterday made the "right" sound file appear; it was the last of the requisite three axons. Boo-yeah!)

ARRRG!!Shocked my foolish brother went to get the 14:37 axon and stood there at the Burger King on 82 and clackamas and LET IT RING!! He got it in his head some where that it would ring for 3 min so he was waveing his friend over so that he could hear it (he was covering another phone) and let it ring. At least we know where it is and that it rings. I think that he has the day off tomarrow so he can accualy PICK IT UP this time Rolling Eyes

For some reason, I had read "82nd and Clackamas" as "82nd and King," interpreted that as meaning that the 10:03 axon was at a Burger King, and I found myself hastily searching 82nd and King area for the requisite grease farm. Instead, I found a payphone at Jack-in-the-Box, decided that was close enough, and waited for the call. I was there quite early and waited for a good three minutes after the time was up, but no ring. I guess it was a different phone... there was one at a Mexican restaurant across the corner...

Anyway, there was a guy in a reflective uniform who I assumed was a security guard who was looking at me from the parking lot the whole time... creepy.

SpaceBass can tell you exactly where this one was, because I can't remember exactly. I know it is NW of the 82nd and King intersection. Its underneath a covered area.

I just wanted to note that Shelly got the one at 2:37 on 82nd and Clackamas today.

Yeah, that Jack in the Box phone wouldn't accept my calls when I tried before. If it's the same coordinate as last time, it's the phone under the cover at the south end of the strip mall across 82nd from the Jack in the Box. Phone number 777.xxx9

If you mean the 16:51 axon on 23 and glisan then we already covered all 5 of the phones in the parking lot. see my post and map above.

Cherry and i atempted the Lloyd center theater axon again today with the same results. I can hit this one again tomarrow but unless anyone has any new ideas for what to do to get it to activate, i wont try really hard to get there.

Quick question for the Portland-ites:

You guys are the only ones who have activated any 'real' axons. Can someone post (or PM me) a transcript or a summary of it? Its the only one on my list that I totally have no idea about.

Thanks!

Hey, I just registered so I could say that I'll be in portland this weekend (saturday and sunday), and I'll try to hit as many of the axons as I can. Is this the most up-to-date list of the area? My compliments to its creator.

I haven't been to that one, and so I don't have any ideas. You know the situation more then I do, and SpaceBass got it to work last time, so if you guys can't come up with something... that it looks like we can't get it.

I don't know who got the 16:29 one on Lovejoy, cause I wasnt there. Good job trying to get real to come up, but for a transcript I can't help you, and I don't know who can. I think the guy that got this posts on GameFAQs. But I don't know his handle.

HERE IS SOMETHING TO TRY

Since we can't find the phone at 16:51 (from the Hive Ku set), lets try the phones on NW 23rd and Flanders. They are using that Axon in the Killer.jpg set and I it is close enough to give a try. I will try and stake it out today or tomorrow maybe. (This is based off thinking that they posted an error with the duplicate coords)
