Here, got a list of all the SF axons (not including the Berkeley ones). Hopefully Darkforge or Ariock will be able to compile all the axons. I've included a lists of the particular axons with the multiple timestamps (times it will ring) below each one.

We so need to conference this out.

group chats

Guys, we need to create a irc chat dedicate to just us SF/BA beekeepers for these axons. ... Somehow we need a conference - some sorta chatroom.

An IRC room is simple to create temporarily: just type /join #sfaxons and keep someone in the room at all times, preferably the creator passing along the ops status if they need to leave.

Alternatively, people with AIM can create a temporary group chat room. For example, copy this code to notepad and save on your desktop as a shortcut "ILB.blt"....
Code:
URL {
 launch aim:GoChat?RoomName=ILB%20axons%20SF&Exchange=4&Instance=-1
}
Config {
 prompt false
 version 1
}
or put this in your browser's address bar:
aim:GoChat?RoomName=ILB%20axons%20SF
(unfortunately this might not put you all in the same chat server)
You can even invite yourself to a room using the People menu.

Just random suggestions... i don't even have all of you wonderful people on my Buddy List yet!

Nevermind. Ariock's Recipe7 table is messed up, and it had me thinking the wrong one was the library. The library axon ends in 86885, and it isn't on Sunday's broadcast at all.

That was not ariock's fault, that was MY fault. I switched the Berkeley Public Library with the Shattuck and Bancroft one. Looking back, I see I did it first on the recipe6 sheet.
I am very sorry. I feel like a dimwit, which is not an unusual feeling for me. I hope you can forgive me. Embarassed Dunce

Okay, guys! I need verifications of whether this procedure works for the SF axons. Each axon is labelled with a letter; next to it are the times of the rings. Below that is a list of the beekeepers and assigned axons. Tell me whether these routes are okay or not. Also, once everyone accepts the idea, we'll start assigning them to actual beekeepers. If not, we'll keep planning until Saturday.

a [37.792786 -122.396824] - 11:00,11:05,11:20,12:45,12:50
b [37.788539 -122.404778] - 13:00,13:05,13:05,13:10
c [37.786010 -122.405448] - 13:05,13:15,13:20,13:30
d [37.786568 -122.405128] - 13:45,13:45,14:00,14:00,14:05,14:05,14:10,14:10
e [37.786529 -122.408325] - 13:00,13:05,13:05,13:10
f [37.784899 -122.407931] - 13:05,13:15,13:20,13:30
g [37.787227 -122.403880] - 13:45,14:00,14:05,14:10
h [37.787249 -122.408630] - 13:05,13:15,13:20,13:30
i [37.788013 -122.404263] - 13:05,13:15,13:20,13:30
j [37.787898 -122.403026] - 13:45,14:00,14:05,14:10
k [37.788338 -122.402469] - 13:45,14:00,14:05,14:10
l [37.788495 -122.402666] - 13:45,14:00,14:05,14:10
m [37.789109 -122.401897] - 12:15,12:20,12:25,12:30,12:35
n [37.790085 -122.400263] - 13:45,14:00,14:05,14:10
o [37.789802 -122.401015] - 13:05,13:15,13:20,13:30
p [37.791440 -122.398540] - 11:50,11:55,12:00,12:10,12:25,12:35,12:40

beekeeper#1: a = o
beekeeper#2: p = f = n
beekeeper#3: p = i = k
beekeeper#4: m = h = j
beekeeper#5: b = l
beekeeper#6: b = l (pending position)
beekeeper#7: f = g
beekeeper#8: c = g
beekeeper#9: e = d

Ariock and I came to the conclusion that we might need a another beekeeper to handle with the double calls of axons b and l. The reason why there's two beekeepers for axon p is for the left and right payphones. While one anwsers a call, the other can occupy the other payphone.

EDIT: Ariock has a better plan of assigning axons to beekeepers.

beekeeper#1: A-O-N
beekeeper#2: M-C-J
beekeeper#3: P1-B-K
beekeeper#4: P2-I-L
beekeeper#5: E-G
beekeeper#6: H-D1
beekeeper#7: F-D2

Logistics Time

From a preliminary review of the axons, it appears that we will need:

  • San Francisco: a MINIMUM of 7 hunters, with that number possibly going as high as 9.

  • Berkeley: a MINIMUM of 5 hunters. Depending on distances/etc more, but I will leave that to the fine folks of Berkeley to determine.

  • Palo Alto: Not sure how far apart the axons are, but it looks like maybe one person could do it? 3 at most would be needed.

Please indicate here which (if any) squad you intend to work with on Sunday. I know several of the usual SF hunters are actually from the East Bay, so please let us know.

Once we get a head count, we can figure out phone assignments. The standard local area spreadsheet will be up soon to get an overview.

Count me in for the Berkeley crew. If need bee (I couldn't help myself!) I can coordinate who goes where, I just need to know who's going to help in the Berkeley area.

Hey count me in for Berkeley Crew. Although I don't know exactly what times I'll be available. I am supposed to pick up Major Crazypanda at the Oakland Airport around 11:50. So I can help with axons before 11:30. If there are any Berkeley axons after 12 then definitely count me and Crazypanda in.

Edit: Wow I just saw the ridiculously long list of axons. Maybe I can convince crazypanda to just take BART back. I would like to be help the Berkeley Crew as much as I can.

I'll be at Berkeley. Sadly, I don't have a cell phone or recording device.

The 49 Berkeley axons (subject to change) are from 11:00 to 14:10, Savage Ace.

Berkeley Planning

Note, this solution is obsolete as of Saturday 3PM PDT. Recipe8 has changed.

Okay, here's my Berkeley solution using five beekeepers: A,B,C,D,E. I would like someone to check this plan and make sure it is reasonable.

I don't know what's going to happen at 13:05. Telegraph and Channing is listed 4 times, but there are only two phones that have ever rung there. I'm guessing the list will update saturday night/sunday morning. If we really don't need four people simultaneously there, then I think we can get by with a four-person solution.

Until Ariock gets his norcal page up, you can see the list of berkeley axons from Darkforge's spreadsheet here.

Bancroft and College - 37.872283
ABCDE
11:00 11:05 11:20
E
12:45 12:50 13:05 13:15 13:20 13:30

Bancroft and Bowditch - 37.868933
A
11:50 11:55 12:00 12:10

Channing near Telegraph - 37.86705

B
12:15 12:20 12:25 12:30 12:35

Shattuck and Dwight - 37.863883
D
13:30 13:45 14:00 14:05 14:10

Shattuck and University - 37.872283
C
12:25 12:35 12:40

Telegraph and Channing - 37.866683
ABCD
13:00 13:00 13:05 13:05 13:05 13:05 13:10 13:10

13:30 13:45 14:00 14:05 14:10

University and MLKJr - 37.871767
BC
13:30 13:30 13:45 13:45 14:00 14:00 14:05 14:05 14:10 14:10

I'll keep a list here of who is coming. PM me or post here if I can add you. Also let me know whether you have a cell phone.

Zudini (has cell)
Missphinx (no cell)
Alec (has cell)
Savage_ace (has cell) (time constraints - will be D above)
Ace of Spades (no cell)
Stitch (has cell?) (If we can wake him up in time.)

Also, DarkForge said he'll be sending over two new recruits. So we should have the (wo)manpower we need. See you all at the 11:00 axon. Once we get a feel for how the day is going to go, we can reorganize and replan.

Northern California Axons

Here you go!

For those of you who may just try to modify it in your browser address bar from the old link....I CHANGED the file extension from .html to .php. This allows me to feed it as a smaller file if you have a fresh new browser.

the long version:

http://www.ariock.org/norcal-recipe8-coords.php

Specific versions are coming for SF and Berkeley for logistics discussion purposes only. Since all of this could change Saturday night, we might want to refrain from making iron clad plans. I would suggest those who can, check back late Saturday, otherwise first thing Sunday.

Well, I'll be having fun running amok in Palo Alto on Sunday. This should be entertaining to see what Melissa has to say this week.

To Bee Sure

Hi Everyone.

Berkeley seems to have more than enough people.
This is a plea to make sure we have enough people for San Francisco.
From what I can tell, these people can come out on Sunday for sure:

Addict
ariock
Ceantari
hmrpita
Ranger D

I am hoping that I can add to the list:

Mazian
DarkForge

As stated by others in earlier posts, the minimum number of people we need is seven. If there is anyone who is interested in helping us and can make it, please send a post. Your help will be much appreciated. There is no such thing as too many beekeepers. Thank you! Smile
