The last few times I flew, we were allowed to use cell phones on the ground right after landing, which is a relatively new development. But using a cell phone in flight is still a no-no.
"The Federal Communications Commission and the Federal Aviation Administration currently prohibit the use of the cellular phones while an airplane is in flight."
I hope you can wait until after you land.

talk to your service provider. you maybe, possibly, just might be able to have calls forwarded, like voicemail, to another phone number if it goes past a certain number of rings or if the phone is off.

The danger factor isn't known for sure, it's suspected that cell phones can interfere with navigation equipment. However, the point's pretty moot, as cell phone coverage doesn't extend all the way up to typical cruise altitudes for jetliners. There are some solutions being worked on, but it'll be a while before they're available on your average airline.

Argh. (Or Argn, even). I have a plan that involves my presence at tomorrow's axon hunt, but there are some factors outside of my control, so I don't want to be assigned a route and end up not making it up there. I'm running on the a balance of lucidity no thanks to tooth pain vs. lucidity no thanks to sweet, sweet painkillers, so if everyone wants to send me some happy vibes tomorrow, I'm working on this whole mind over matter thing to see me through.

Ariock has a better plan of assigning axons to beekeepers.

beekeeper#1: A-O-N
beekeeper#2: M-C-J
beekeeper#3: P1-B-K
beekeeper#4: P2-I-L
beekeeper#5: E-G
beekeeper#6: H-D1
beekeeper#7: F-D2

Does everyone agree to this set up Ariock arranged? If so, we totally need to agree a time for rendezvous. How does 10:45 sound like at Axon A? At the rendezvous we can decide who is assigned what set. Got it? Sounds good? Yes? No?

I have a few of your guys numbers and will call you guys if I don't see responces. Hopefully, you guys from there can reach the others I don't have contacts of. ^_^

DarkForge will be passing out copies of the axons and schedules for us. I will be providing a list of names and contacts so we can relay the question and answer to each other.

Berkeley Coordination

I'm going to try to show up to the first Berkeley axon 30mins early with printouts for each of the axons, if the Berkeley Crew could show up a little early, we can split the axons based on how many people we have. See you tomorow!

It looks like we will have enough in Berkeley to cover our axons, especially with the new recruits DarkForge is sending. SF squad, will you have enough people or should we try to arrange for a Berkeley person or two to come help out?

Hi Ace Of Spades,
We are short one person in San Francisco. If Berkeley can spare one of you fine individuals, we'd appreciate it. Even more than one is better. Can't have too many. The more the merrier. Et cetera, et cetera.

Please let us know who can come out here. Thank You! Very Happy

Fun Stuff

The updated axon list is online. Thanks to the usual suspects...

Also, hmrpita has created a map with Ceantari's phone list and what should be the best assignments. Eight hunters are required....

Hope we get enough folks to fill out the roster.

We'll need to check in at the first axon in Berkeley to make sure we have everyone we're expecting. If we have some extras, we might be able to send someone over reasonably quickly. I'm not sure if you're planning to split up at the start of the day or later on - the SF schedule doesn't require people to split up until the 13:00 and later axons, and if you will be grouped before that anyone we send could meet up with your group at an earlier axon. If you split at the start it could be tricky.

Bring an extra map, and we'll see what we can do to help.

the 12:45 and 12:50 axons are mislabeled on the page. The correct coordinates are listed, but the location of those coords is Cafe Strada.

With that in mind, I've written up a pretty flexible "move list" to cover all the Berkeley axons. It has everyone meeting up periodically and redistributing crewmembers, but it still requires 6 crewmembers total to get all the axons. After 13:30, we can cover everything with 4 crewmembers, but the 13:30 axon is the one where we'll need all 6.

If anyone has any improvements to this timetable, post your modifications.

11:00 - Start at Strada

11:20 - after this Strada call, everybody head to Urban Outfitters for 11:50 call

12:00 - second to last urban outfitters call, send detachment to answer 12:15 phone at Telegraph and Channing

12:10 - last Urban Outfitters call, everybody head to single phone at Telegraph and Channing

12:20 - after second phone call at single phone, split group again to cover single phone and phones on south side of street.

12:35 - after call to single phone at Telegraph and Channing, group covering it is done with that phone and now heads back to Strada (we need 2 people to cover both phones) for axons starting at 12:45.

13:05 - after this Telegraph and Channing axon, one member of T+C crew moves to MLK Jr. for 13:30 call

13:10 - after dual simultaneous calls, the remaining Telegraph and Channing crew split up and move to cover Radio Shack, University + Shattuck, and Shattuck + Bancroft for 13:30 calls

13:30 - After these axons, Strada team is done and can move to fill any gaps in coverage between Radio Shack, Shattuck + Bancroft, MLK Jr, and University + Shattuck
