Are we going to abandon the other times? Cuz aren't those of locations we've activated in the prior session? Wonder what will happen if we don't activate them by Tues?

12:37 hivekuts.html in Berkeley done, and Tuesday...

Found the 12:37 the_human_heart axon which closes out Berkeley on the hivekuts.html page.

For those who are interested, it was on the southwest corner of College and Bancroft. There were two sets of 2 phones outside Strada, and it was the set that faced College Ave. (the leftmost of the two in that set...had a phone # ending in 4, and no sevens or threes at all....there goes that theory...)

I was so happy I got one.

Then, since I was in the area, I decided to check out the 12:57 axon from killer.jpg. I know everyone is saying that they wont go active until Tuesday, but to my knowledge no one had checked.

The 12:57 is on the corner of MLKJr and University in Berkeley....same location as one from the first set of axons on links.html. Unfortunately, that was early in the morning on the 24th of August, and hmrpita and I weren't there. I figure the phone from that time was one of the two right outside the Udupi Palace Restaurant? Could someone who was there confirm that? Missphinx, you were there, weren't you?

Anyway....I waited at those phones and got nothing. no call. no robots. no dancing. no combination of those items.

So Tuesday. Not bloody likely that I will be there.....good luck to those that will be.

and anyway....I got one today! WOO!

Edit: Udupi Palace...not Palance. Though it did do one-armed pushups at an oscar award ceremony...

Four Final SF hivekuts.html Axons

Since I am getting the hang of this, and this webspace is just sitting around...here is a page with the remaining SF Axon info:

http://www.ariock.org/hivekuts-SF-coords.html

I plan on attempting any of the last three still remaining on Monday.

7:33 is too damn early to come from the East Bay.

Is anyone else going?

Anyone not going who has tried and wouldn't mind pointing out where the bad phones were?

You rock for getting the 12:37. I was sure from where I was I would have heard it. I guess the crowd noise was just a little too loud where I was standing.

That's the right location for the 12:57 axon. I can never remember the name of that restaurant, but now I'll be able to remember that it has Palace in the name (or is it Palance?)

Anybody doing SF tomorrow?

crap...no responses...

I would rather not duplicate effort. Anyone who has tried these, please let me know. I will be there for the 10:07 axon and on. hmrpita plans to help for the later two.

Hope someone else shows...please?

Consider this....this is probably going to be the last day to activate these....assume that Melissa has something spectacular planned when she is fully physical....don't you think she is more likely to go somewhere where they have gotten EVERY axon possible? Maybe she will rain fiery death down, but dammit, I want to be in the middle of it!

anyway...good luck. and if not, you can get back into it on Tuesday.

Though I can't....grumble grumble.

For tomorrow's Axon's, here's the ones that are going to be difficult or impossible for me to reach:

7:51
13:29
13:37
13:49
13:55
14:43
15:49
16:09

17:05 - This one is right next to the BART station on my way home. Laughing

I won't get to all of the ones I can get to, on the first day. I will need to spread these out over a couple of days. I will definitely be able to get the 7:59 AM axon (assuming I get to BART on time) Confused

The morning is out, but the afternoon is a distinct possibility, which means all of the ones you listed that you cannot get, save the 7:51. We'll try to see how many we can get in one day. Good luck!

If the queen were smarter, she would probably be hopelessly neurotic. As is, she is shy and skittish, possibly because she never leaves the hive, but spends her days confined in darkness, a kind of eternal night, perpetually in labor…. Her true role is less that of a queen than mother of the hive, a title often accorded to her. And yet, this is something of a mockery because of her lack of maternal instincts or the ability to care for her young.

Well, I finally get to actually attend classes tomorrow (tues). They're over in the financial district (AAU). So perhaps I might drop by a few along the way. Got some good classes too: '3D Texture and Lighting' (3:30-6:30) and '3D Advanced Animation 2' (7-10pm). It'll be fun. Hopefully I can visit the forums during class lectures. ^_-

Updated Coordinate Page

I attempted to prettify and update the page with all of the SF Bay Area coords.

Here it is

aka http://www.ariock.org/fable-SF-coords.html

I will update it daily to show which axons have been heated.

Happy Hunting!

Oh, and Way To Go Berkeley! Already 3 hot as I am writing this. WOOT! Wish I were out on this beautiful day instead of working....

EDIT: BIG ONE! hmrpita noticed that I missed two axons in my original list in the above link. they are both in SF and are at 12:19 and 12:27. They are included now.

So at the 7:29 axon, I guessed right on the name of the ship, but it didn't recognize it. Then I missed the 7:49 as I tracked down an internet connection to verify the correct answer. I'll probably hit these tomorrow.

At 8:43, the axon in the library, may take some social engineering to activate, since it's inside the doors, and the earliest they open is 10:00. Does anyone know any workers there?

For the 9:11 we found 2 sets of phones, one was a single phone that didn't work. The other phones didn't ring. May be worth some research, as it's a centrally located area in the middle of a bunch of other axons.

12:57 should be an easy one, as long as I can find some parking.

There are 2 Berkeley axons missing from your list too, 9:33 and 9:51, both hot. (maybe more, those were just the ones I noticed when fable came up with coords)

Early morning SF axons

Noticed the 7:51 and 7:59 SF axons didn't go hot today. From the looks of things, it seems impossible to get both in one day; they are about 4 blocks away from each other. Factor in call time, I figure you have 7.5 minutes to run your ass 4 city blocks. Possible, but then you run the risk of the phone being in use when you get there. I'll cover the 7:51 if someone can cover the 7:59 tomorrow morning.

Today, I plan to hit the 13:03, 13:07, 13:17 and 13:29 axons in SF as these will be on my lunch break and they are all within close proximity of each other. I *may* be able to squeeze out of work for some of the more employer un-friendly axons (ie. 10:27) later this week, but if someone has an easier time getting those, do it.

Hit me on AIM or PM me today if you want to coordinate any of these axons. I am at work, so if I don't reply right away, it's not because I don't like you Wink

More Missing Axons....

Those two Bekeley ones are in the range that was missing from the killer.jpg files that people were looking for. I forgot to check this morn to see if they were in the new list.

OK. It appears to be correct now. There were 4 in the Bay Area in the missing 24 axons that make up "its_a_chicken" and "winning". Since I missed the coords for the Berkeley axons, they are missing in the list...If you have them, Stitch, please PM them to me and I will update. Thanks for pointing these out to me!

Hope this is helpful.

I'm going to attempt to hit:

s_typhi 12:19
s_typhi 12:27
retirement 12:47

today, I'm on my way to lunch now. These are all relatively tightly grouped together and near where I plan to eat lunch anyway.

I'll try a different group tomorrow.

wish me luck

Hehe, at least so far, none of them in San Fran have designated times at 12:00...

(Tuesday noon fire alarms... I hate them so)

Results:

s_typhi 12:19 Success!
s_typhi 12:27 Failure
retirement 12:47 Success!

I arrived at 12:19 with 10 minutes to spare. I called each phone, verified that they rang. I waited.

It rang, I answered, Melissa asked if I was there. I answered yes. Melissa indicated that she had almost given up hope that any of her crew had survived the crash, but due to hardware damage, she was having a hard time identifying things [?]. She asked what ship I was assigned to: Apocalypso I repeated three times before she said "you're one of mine!"

s_typhi transcript

I then went to 12:27, with 3 minutes to spare. I called each phone, verified that they range. I waited.

It rang, I answered, Melissa again asked if I was there, I answered yes. She gives the same speech as last time, and asks which ship I am assigned to. I said Apocalypso, but it didn't recognize me. "You're not one of mine!" she said, and ended with a cacophony of "I love bees!"

I then grabbed a sandwhich and headed over to the 12:47. I finished the sandwhich with 2 minutes to spare. I tested the phone, and waited.

Same as above, and when I said Apocalypso, it played the wave file [now released]
