Totally forgot about it, actually. Embarassed Wonder if I still have my notes around here somewhere?

Final Fantasy Concert

Ok, so I'm cross-posting. Meh.

Read my post about the Final Fantasy "Dear Friends" Concert in San Francisco.

I will be going to this, and I think it will be enjoyable for just about anyone. Decide if you want to go quickly as tickets may sell out fast. Smile

For anyone who lives in the Bay Area that missed this thread, but might catch this one, I am just giving a heads up. I recommend posting in the other thread about your availability, rather than this one.

Jane's March 8-18 ilovebees exhibit in Berkeley

WOOT!
http://www.berkeley.edu/news/media/releases/2005/03/01_ilovebees.shtml

"A new exhibit at the University of California, Berkeley's Worth Ryder Gallery will serve up clues about how 10 million gamesters around the world got hooked on a mystery game called "Ilovebees" that sent them sleuthing through real and virtual worlds."

Bay Area players comprised a large segment of "Ilovebees" followers, McGonigal said, and she expects many of them to come to the exhibit and her 7 p.m., March 14 lecture in Room 160 of UC Berkeley's Kroeber Hall.

Whoever authored that article wrote:
Players were advised that when the mystery was solved, "Halo 2" would be released.

Oh no we weren't!!

Rumors abound of new connections made between "Ilovebees" players and of players meeting and marrying. McGonigal said one true story involves two sisters brought closer together through one sister's interactive interview in a phone booth that was overheard by the other when it was broadcast on the game site.

... Shocked Hadn't heard any of this before ...

OK, time to fess up then. Who are the sisters? Who's getting married? And what "connections" are we talking about here?

I am thinking the sisters might be Ensign Dragonrider, and her talking about her sister's spinal surgery (that sound file -still- gets to me).

To anyone who is going -- Any way to get pics of the exhibit? Maybe the text of Jane's remarks (after, of course, let her surprise us)?
[/begging]

on behalf of the rest of us geographically-deprived people who don't live in California...
