This means, when the time comes, if your phone doesn't ring, wait about 15 seconds, then PICK IT UP ANYWAY. For some reason, they don't always RING, but that doesn't mean the call isn't coming in.

OK, so after the 7:51 location this morning, I went back to the 777 Market St. phone that DIDN'T ring yesterday, but did ring last week. I thinking, WTF, I'm here, I want to see if this phone still rings. I call it. The phone rings...... I think this phone is possessed or something.

An idea if anyone wants to try it:

Yesterday when hmrpita and I were waiting for a phone to ring, we were talking about not knowing which phone at the location would ring. I had an idea to make some kind of sticker (using an avery label or something) and put "ilovebees" or the GPS coordinates on them and then stick in on the phone somewhere in plain view. Most of these phones I've been to have had some type of vandalism happen to them, so a sticker wouldn't really bring the phone co. out to clean it off. That way, there is no confusion.

Just an idea.

Not really worthy of a trout... but this has been discussed/implemented before.

It might also lend credence to the SPEC that some Axon's are intentionally delayed or prevented from activating in order to prolong the ARG.

I agree. Perhaps they discovered that we're too quick about staking out the payphones. We learn too fast. ^_-

Arrived with time to spare. Answered. Voice recognition did not recognize me this time. I repeated the password several times with different inflections. [SPEC] Maybe there is an averaging effect on the repeats? [/SPEC] but I'm not very in favor of that SPEC (even though it's mine) since I have heard that some people have heard (first hand) that people have said much more complicated sentences and have enhottenated (tee hee) an Axon. If it can pick out a single word in a sentence when only said once, then I am back to supporting the SPEC that some axon's are designed to not work immediately to prevent the game ending too soon.

I'm gonna try for the 13:37, 13:49, 14:03 and the 14:43 locations today.

I'm really gonna have to try my best at getting 13:49. Depending on the situation, I might have to blow it, and go straight to 14:03.
Wish me luck! ^_^*

That still leaves the 12:27, 15:49 and the two this morning (7:59 and 10:27).

/me asks you forgive his cross-posting. Embarassed

I was at the 12:27 s_typhi axon two days running. I answered the call both times. Both times I was not recognized.

[SPEC] Could be the phone itself. I would need a partner to test the quality of the phone. [/SPEC]

I'm about to step out to catch the 14:03 smarter axon. Hopefully I'll see ya there Ceantari.

aww... poor thing. Now it should know you.

Oh yeah, just after you left, Mazian, I marked off the payphone with a rip of masking tape and written "beekeeper" on it. It's on the inside glass, behind the white phone logo on the right. Hopefully no one removes it. ^_^

I know this is off the subject, but it's in regards to the local SF/BA folks...

Does anyone of you local SF/BA peoples gots XBox Live and are planning on getting HALO 2? My bf and I are looking for some gamer buddies to hook up with and do some HALO 2 multiplayer game-age.

EDIT:

People not from the SF/BA are welcome to contact me, too.

I got in to this because of Halo 2. I'll see you on Live.

SF Fable axons that are seeking warmth

Huzzah to Ranger D for getting very_lucky at 7:51 (how lucky did you get? Laughing) and Ceantari and Mazian for getting smarter at 2:03 (not that you two aren't smart enough already Wink).

I am going to try to get in as many of the afternoon ones tomorrow as I can. If anyone can try for the morning ones, that would rock. I don't think the 9:21 or 9:31 locations have been visited yet, have they? I have scoped all the locations except the 3 morning ones and the 3:49 one.

These are what we have left:
7:59 (very_lucky) - Same phone as the 2:03, look for a piece of masking tape Smile
9:21 (its_a_chicken) - South side of Geary, west of Powell
9:31 (its_a_chicken) - North side of Geary btwn Kearny & Grant
10:27 (break_em) - Market west of Montgomery
12:27 (s_typhi) - Market btwn Sansome and Montgomery
1:37 (domestic_skills) - Market west of Main
1:49 (smarter) - Powell btwn Eddy & Ellis
2:43 (your_fault) - Market east of Stockton
3:49 (butter_flavored) - Broadway west of Columbus

Good luck everyone!

How did bees ever become equated with sex? They do not live a riotous sex life themselves. A hive suggests cloister more than bordello.
