Yes, indeed, I will hit the Block axon today. I probably won't be able to hit Bena park or Anaheim until the weekend though. Busy week at work.

Anyhow, the 16:43 one, the one on hollyood blvd - is that new? Whatever, if its not done by friday, I can get it.
16:43 axon (34.101652 -118.341436, never_right_again) is about the most-successfully activated axon in LA proper, and it's right near where I live so I'll probably grab it today.
For anyone who's interested or who hasn't hit a live axon yet, the phone is located on the north side of Hollywood Blvd at Orange - it's just west of the Chinese Theatre courtyard and directly across the street from the Coffee Bean. There are two banks of two payphones each on either side of the entrance to the parking lot at Hollywood & Orange; the phone that rings is the westmost phone in the easterly bank of phones.
Parking in the area is catch-as-catch-can unless you feel like paying for a spot in the Hollywood & Highland ramp, which still costs a couple of bucks even with validation.

Looks like somebody's gonna have to spend the afternoon at UCLA. Don't we have anybody over there?

Oh the failing... So, the guys who hotted-enated the Block axon the first round showed up to keep me company. (Hi!) They are not board frequenters, so I filled them in on the new phrases, etc. One of them answered the phone, and I had told him to say Apocalypso. He did say it 3 times, but for some reason, it wasn't recognized. I'll go back again tomorrow.
I may have convinced them to hit the Anaheim and/or the Buena Park ones, so we'll see if that pans out. I did some minor scouting of the Anaheim ones, since I had some time before I needed to be at the Block. The one right at the stadium looks like there's probably only a couple of possibilities. The other one is in some sort of movie theatre shopping center and may have more than a few. I'll update the magical OC Axon list to reflect what I saw while I was out.
This concludes my report.

09:17, Burbank, California 9:17 a.m. axon ("skin") hot. That's the one at the Burbank Airport Hilton, on Hollywood Way. I'll post a quick summary of the clip in this thread , since we only hit 4/5 axons in that group today.
By the way, for anyone else visiting this axon in the future: I previously posted that the active pay phone was located in the convention center just west of the hotel itself. Well, it's not; it's just another wing of the same hotel. Still the same general location, with the same parking lot, so hopefully a bunch of people weren't wandering around the convention center this morning based on my bad directions.
Also, the parking lot has a 15-minute grace period, so you don't actually have to pay for parking unless you get there way too early.

Annother $1.50 spent and 11:45 PDT in Irvine "retirement" is hot. Weeee!
... Why couldn't they have picked a payphone closer to the parking lot... I have to pass a payphone as soon as I get out of my car to go to the one that will ring... And each time I do, I cry a little cry and annother small part of me dies...
Okay... Maybe I just get really overheated and tired... SAME THING!

What's left in the Hollywood area? I might end up hitting UCLA so I might finally answer a phone that rings.

I hit the Buena Park axions at 7711 Beach Blvd today.
The phone did not ring for the 16:05 PDT axion, but it may be another phone in the area. I covered the the pair of payphones that went hot for Troy. But these phones didn't ring either when I went on Saturday for Troy and activated on Sunday. One of these phones may have an intermittant ringer.
The 16:25 PDT did ring and the axion went Hot. It was right one of the pair. (714) XXX-X433.
The 16:47 PDT did ring and the axion went Hot. It was the left payphone. (714) XXX-X399.
No BeeKeepers in sight.

The other close phone right there is in front of the PoFolks restaurant on the other side of the museum. That one rings pretty quietly. It might be that one.
Good deal though. I'll make sure to note on the site that any of the three phones there can ring.

I tried the 11:07 axon on Wilshire and Western (Ryan Adams is playing at the Wilstern if you're interested). There were two pay phones at the exact coordinates, but nether accepted incoming calls. They had numbers, but when I tried them, I just got screeching. I was too late to search around for any others.
I'm 0/4.

Cortana happens to be in the neighborhood but will probably need help to cover all the axons in the area (something like 7 axons w/in 1000 meters of each other in under 30 minutes)
Anyone who wants to help him today (Thursday), AIM me since I'll have contact with him via cell.
