Hello

As you may have read in other threads, I and a friend of mine sent in pictures demonstrating our skills, but have not yet received confirmation. In our email to Melissa, we called ourselves members of the Washington Research Center (it seemed to fit--he was billed as a pathologist and I said I was a historian).

We're down in Tacoma... is this close enough to any of you for us to join Rainier Company?

Are there axons in Tacoma? If so, I didn't realize it. What are their coords?
If not, have you sent pictures (with the #) of an accessable payphone,
plotted it's coords, and emailed it to Melissa?

Rainier Company is statewide, you don't have to be close to anyone.

Welcome to the team, Tacoma dudes! I'm listing on the front page only those who are accepted by Melissa in visual confirmation. I dont know if there's any value to this yet though. It's not clear if this makes them "confirmed" crew members to Melissa. We'll find out how many names are listed as direct axons for next round.

Also, I'm trying to get out of the Band & Entertainment thing. I dont want to be called upon to perform or anything Smile I'd rather just shoot up some covvies.

Yeah! We were quite suprised. When she asked to speak with me she asked "What do you know about the killer?"

I haven't been following along too closely lately...been busy, so I didn't know who that was. I replied "I actually don't know too much about the killer."
"Why not? The killer is the enemy, don't you think you should learn about the enemy?"
"I've been in hiding"
"Why have you been in hiding, are you undercover?"
"Yes"
"Why?"
"Because I believe the covenant is coming soon, I've been trying to get more information"
"Interesting...........I need a picture to get proof that..." and she went on to deliver those instructions we all know about. The picture has been taken by our other team member, but I haven't heard from him since then about it.

She took down all 3 of our phone numbers, I assume for a call next week.

Speaking of the next week calls, I assume I am to expect a call on my cell phone, the number that I gave Melissa? Is there a way I will know what time the call is coming? It's kinda bad timing because next tuesday is the first day of work for me...I just got a new job. Smile I'd like to make sure I'll be free when the call comes.

Check http://www.ilovebees.com/recipe6.html tomorrow after 9am for the new list of coords/times. Search for the name you gave to Melissa and if it is there, it will have a time next to it.

Follow-Up Sent

I just sent a follow-up email to Melissa, giving the approximate GPS coords for that axon. Hopefully she'll forgive me for the error.

I'll post something if I get a response from the Op.

On Tuesday, Melissa said to a couple of teams (to hmrpita for one) that
she was going to give them a special mission, and keeps stressing the importance of teams. I don't really know how much coordination this will
demand.

Many of you work in offices and have to go to great lengths just to get out
to an axon or mask your ILB forum browsing on Tuesdays. I work in the
restaurant biz so all I have to do is walk into a crowd of my co-workers
and ask if anyone would like to work for me.

It's really up in the air on how I spend that time. There were more than
enough people to cover the axons this week and I had a Melissa call at
home right in the middle of the afternoon.

It, ofcourse, didn't hurt to have a coordination system set up and I believe
that we should continue on having one. I could easily do it but would like to
know if anyone else has the day off and was wanting to.

I don't want to monopolize this idea so it's only fair to throw this out there.

I'm new. My name is Eliza, and I live in Bellevue.

I'm currently a freelance illustrator, working from home, but I do not have access to a car except after 9pm. I have not sent Melissa my picture yet, but will do it probably tonight. I'm willing to help however I can.

We need a team name for us eastsiders! In the marines, the next subunit of a Company would be a Platoon. The platoon name can be used for the greater Seattle area. Below that would be a Squad. So whatever name we come up with for the eastside should be <something> Squad.

Yeah, but are we navy or marines? Very Happy The groupings are similar, just the rank of the leadership is different.

Rainier Company, Seattle Platoon, Eos Squad. Eos is the Greek Goddess of the dawn, hence Eastside.

This is what I'm putting on my photo/axon (I'm submitting the payphone at Pal-Do World as the coords, but couldn't find the phone number so I'm using my house phone. Hope it works.) submission tonight, unless someone has a better idea. Razz

I like Eos. It's short, meaningful, and if nothing else, we can get transferred to NASA later.

As for photos for axon submissions. The only thing I'd say to be wary of is making sure the number of the phone is clearly visible in the picture. Several people have attempted to do this by putting the number on a piece of paper or other signage. I guess we'll find out in a few hours if any of them succeeded.
