I enhottenated two axons this morning, and both took a few tries saying it before it took.

"a bee" worked for my direct call as well as the Redmond call.

I tried "bees" at 10:40 and it was rejected. Optimus said "a bee" twice at the 12:44 axon and it was accepted. There's definitely some voice recognition issues with this answer.

Through a combination of bad luck and my own stupidty (mostly stupidity), I missed this one. Sorry.

Enhottenated 3 out of the 4 Husky Stadium axons. Not sure why the third (14:27) didn't take, it's not like I could say "BEES" any number of ways...

Either way the axon group is hot, we should be good to go.

Sorry, just passing on the very explicit information I was given.

I understand. For the record, "a bee" worked for Factoria as well. Not sure what to make of it.

Sorry for being absent for the last week, midterms and midterm programming projects were taking every second of my time.

Anyway, I got the Redmond axon with Wynn today and there did seem to be something off about the voice recogniton. I said "a bee" and waited for a bit, listening to dead air, so I tried again and it went through the second time.

And congrats again Wynn on the live call. You deserve it with all of the hard work you've done.

I got my axon, but lost my wallet in the process. Cursing

Ah well, it's still the cheapest game I've played this year.

Just a question, but is anyone going to make the trip down to california for the training/do we have any idea what the "combat" training will be? After thinking we were getting a demo disk the first time, I'm a little skeptical of what this time will be Smile.

That's too far for me to go on a Thursday without knowing exactly what it is. A few days later we will all have Halo 2, so I'm not sure it's worth it. However, I can imagine it could be fun to pile people in a van and have a road trip down there and back.

Yeah, a roadtrip would be nice. I was hoping, after seeing the "-122" longitude, that it would be a location up here in Washington, but no such luck.

Ah, well... it's probably too late to submit a name, and I'm not sure I'd have the time or money, anyway. Besides, if I ignore the entire Internet for the two days between Halo 2's release and when I get my copy (which is being shipped because I can't rely on my local stores to have enough copies), I'll be alright.

... of course, the question is if I can survive 2 days of internet withdrawl.... Wink

Well, there's no "combat training exercise" near us, but anyone want meet up at the Bungie FanFest at the Experience Music Project on 11/8? Details here.

Sounds like fun, I think.

Well, it looks like there isn't going to be any more axons and that this game is wrapping up. I work in the evening on the 6th and wouldn't take the time off unless I had my name on a v.i.p. list for some special lovin'.

It's not only been fun being apart of this game but also being a part in our loose knit group, Rainier Company. This may sound odd but...

I don't typically meet people who will so willingly take each other in and offer the kind of friendlyness that I have found here. It is out of the ordinary to make a phone call to or receive a call from a complete stranger yet many here have done so just to help each other succeed. How many of us met up with someone at an axon and just started chatting away? Strangely, small things like that renew my faith in people.

I'd especially like to thank Wynn for his weekly efforts.

Wynn, have you ever gone through the other "axon coordination" threads to see how they work? They are mostly pure chaos. No one knows who's doing what or when they are supposed to do it. It may not seem like much to us (or even to you) but the effort that you have put out to coordinate our axons has made this feel much more like a team effort. Thank you for taking that upon yourself.

And so, the ARG is ending and Halo 2 is just around the corner. I will be on "LIVE" as much as my relationship will allow and would love to play with you all. Feel free to email me at AngriBuddhistSPLAThotmail.com. I have also set this message up to "notify" me when new posts come in.

Bye.

Here, here! Wynn, I've told you before, and I'll say it again: YOU RAWK. Your efforts made the whole axon hunting experience enjoyable.

Thanks to everyone who slogged out there to answer those phones over and over to unlock these fantastic wavs.
