Oh, and for the record, I bought the color version, in case others aren't wanting to spend the money but want to make sure we have a look at it for any differences...

/me ordered the colorized version, but won't be home to receive it.

So this is going to be more of a souvenier for me.

I will be relying on you all to decode any important messages while I'm away from home (but still hooked up via my laptop).

/me ordered the color version as well.

I have a pretty good scanner incidentally, so... unless we get any indications to the contrary, I may be able to scan some pertinent excerpts and make it available to those who can't or don't want to buy a copy...

I would strongly encourage anyone interested (and able) to just buy a copy, though. I mean, consider the time you've spent and the kicks you've received playing through UH so far - if it's been worth $10 or $20 to you, this might be a good way to show appreciation and support for the PMs... just my $0.02.

Ordered a copy-- just to reward the PMs and future ARGs, if nothing else.

Argh. I am trying desperately to buy the book, but the Lulu site won't let me. When I try to change the country from United States to United Kingdom, it automatically flicks back to the first page and loses everything else I've typed >_<

I'll try on my home computer later.

I keep on trying to give the PMs money, but they won't seem to take it off me! TT still haven't answered my international shipping email.

This is a great idea, although currently I can't get as far as the calculation of the shipping to even find out how much it is Crying or Very sad - but I'd definitely be interested in doing that if we can work out a way. Have you had any more success than I have?

I've managed to get it. It doesn't like IE at all.

Postage is expensive.

Are you looking for a colour one or the b/w one?

Shipping option wise we have:

2 b/w books:
International Economy Express (1-2 weeks)
Shipping cost = $13.53
Total = $33.43 / 2 = $16.71

USPS Global Express (don't know how long it takes)
Shipping cost = $35.94
Total = $55.84 / 2 = $27.92

-----
2 colour books:
International Economy Express (1-2 weeks)
Shipping cost = $17.40
Total = $61.32 / 2 = $30.66

USPS Global Express (don't know how long it takes)
Shipping cost = $40.94
Total = $84.86 / 2 = $42.43

So either way we're looking at a rougher ride than these US lot! I think to prevent getting stung by customs we only order a max of 2 books (sorry other UK people), don't want to be paying VAT and duty.

What d'ya reckon?

I also ordered the color version as a souvenir and to say "thank you" for all of the amazing work that the PMs have put into this game.

We can discuss the material contained in the book in these forums, but I don't think it is a good idea to scan and republish the material in the book. That kind of defeats the purpose of selling the book in the first place. I'm sure it's copyrighted, as well.

was wondering if there where any other UK peeps around wanting to put an order together like Wishi and Seq?

i too would like to extend my thanks to the PM's for their work, as well as have a little something to remember this all by Smile

Well, seq's and mine have been ordered (woo!), just to let you know we've gone for two black and white versions simply because of the prohibitive cost of the colour version.

I can understand why the difference in price though, if you look at the publishing pages it costs $0.02 per b/w page and $0.15 per colour so it makes sense.

Color copy ordered (pat on the back to the PMs)...

And people seem to be acting like this is just a neat souvenir... I think there has got to be a puzzle lurking in the pages in some form.
