Or at the very least, Kamal's sister was conscripted into the S-II program(which sucks that his family wouldn't get perks). In The Fall of Reach there is mention that the children were replaced with "Flash Clones" who then died a short number of years later due to the sloppy cloning process.

May suck, but it would be consistent with the BLACK OP nature of kidnapping candidates for the SPARTAN-II project. Who in their right mind would say "you get special privilege to go to earth because... errm.. well... uhmm... you just do."

Raises too many questions.

Having immigrated myself, I know that that wouldn't work. There are standard procedures that you go through when em/immigrating.

Application submission, [waiting for 9 months or so], provisional acceptance (or flat-out rejection), further interviews, [more waiting], medicals etc., [more waiting], full acceptance, movement.

In all it took 2½ years from initial submission of the application to getting fully accepted. I can't see this procedure changing too much. In fact I would [SPEC] it is stricter interplanetary than intraplanetary.

Just want to put this into the SPECStream.

Coral is a planet of Turkish muslim descendents.
Sophia Bassaran is a muslim name. She cooks lamb kofte, a turkish dish.
unstoppable.wav mentions that families on Coral don't eat pork.
Jan's name comes from the Turkish (Christian) special forces.

The Spartans are greek.

James, BTW, is a Christian name.

Their accents are all American, though. Except for that dog joke.
