I just came back from activating 15:25 (and, apparently, dark_genius too). I was too embarrassed to let it go to the weekend without *one* being lit.

Sorry, I've been away for a little while and havent really been able to keep up with the beekeeping. I'll do my best to at least get to the 18:07 axon and make hey_bev go hot. I just hope that phone works. It would be nice if the axons moved a bit from the non-functional ECB 7-11 phone and the non-discoverable Zoo phone.

Just as a note, I sent a message last week saying that it would be *much* better if a phone outside the Zoo were used. It might be a good idea to just check and see if that suggestion was taken (for the phones directly outside). Likewise, if you know 100% that a phone doesn't work, consider sending a message. Suggest 100% working replacements.

Has anyone tried the USD and Morena Blvd ones? Just curious to see which phones have been attempted so I'm not barking up the wrong tree today.

Nuriko, to answer your question - there are two in La Mesa, within a mile or os of each other. One is at the 7-11 and was non-functional last time, and the other is at a taco shop just down the street.

FYI, tried the 13:44 USD axon yesterday. Went to the Olin Hall phone, no ring. Noted the address listed on the phone - 5770 Marian Way. Went across the street to the library and asked the counter girl if she heard the payphone ring - she hadn't. Checked the address on them - 5770 Marian Way. Went back across the street to Olin Hall and, on a whim, went in the door facing the street (vice the one on the side, and which also happened to be on the second floor as opposed to the first floor for the side door phone) - and found another phone. Guess what the address was. In summary, finding this phone is going to be difficult.

Just for kicks, enhottenated the Children's Pool axon, and got to watch people "sharing the beach" with the seals. There were a TON of them, and they were all looking at the people on the beach as if to say "what are THESE THINGS doing here?" Eventually, the desire to sun on the beach overtook their nervousness, and happily the people on the beach were content to keep their distance and photo them. Looked like a happy union for the most part. However, the attraction of the seals made for a VERY busy parking situation - almost didn't make it to the phone in time due to lack of parking. So be warned - if attempting this axon in the future, and on a weekend, give yourself plenty of time to find parking.

I had a long conversation with Melissa at 15:25 at the McDonald's.

The post on it is in the general thread...but while the axon is not marked as hot, I was able to reassure Melissa that I am a serving ensign on the Apocalypso.

So...15:25 is...odd. Not hot, not cold, just interesting.

NOTE: That axon was at the same time and location as last week's.

So, you answered the McDonalds phone... but it's not hot? Very interesting... I wish I could get back there today and see if it's still ringing, and if it's a "normal" call... but there's no way Sad

Is there ANYONE else that can do it? Nuriko, if you were gonna skip class, this may be the phone to get to... it's been contacted by Melissa live once, and it's a bona-fide ringer (unlike the Zoo and the ECB 7-11)...

Even if it's a "normal" call... it's the last San Diego one still active (and will help get us another .wav).

I would actually not mind if someone else did it. My schedule today would make it difficult for me to to go there again, leave, and then go back to the area for class. Besides, I'm...<cough> expecting a call now.

The concern is that someone else makes it hot at the beginning of the block, immediately cancelling the rest of it (15:25 is at the end of the block).
