Rats... just realized I'm not going to be able to hit both the ECB Taco Shop *and* Cabrillo - they're 10 minutes apart. I'll have to pick between the two... so let me know if anyone plans on going to one or the other...

Cabrillo is a known quantity--give yourself some extra time and go to that one. We have the exact location, phone number and everything.

Bah. I was delayed by some soandso for about one minute, and that was enough to get me to the phone just in time for -lovebees, ilovebees....

Which means it was probably a recording, anyway--but oh well. Good luck at Cabrillo.

Boy... going to axons that don't ring is getting ANNOYING. Went to the 15:49 axon... realized while checking the phones at the trolley station that NONE of them accept incoming calls (says so right on the phones, but tested anyway - yup, no ring). Dashed across the street to the 7-11 and discovered that not only were there 4 phones in front of the 7-11, but 2 more in front of the Carl's Jr. right next door. Checked the Carl's phones, 1 out of 2 ring. Checked the 7-11 phones, 3 out of 4 ring (last one didn't have a phone number posted, so couldn't check). I figured my odds were better at the 7-11, so waited there... and no ring. DAMN.

So... I guess the next one to try is the one at the Carl's.

Didn't have time to get to the Cabrillo axon - with traffic the way it is around here, there's no way I could get to Cabrillo, get back home to get my school stuff, and get back to UCSD in time for class. Instead, I opted to get the 17:03 axon at the Taco Shop... and I'm happy to confirm that the phones in front of the taco shop *do* ring - specifically, the one on the right. However, I'm *unhappy* to report that, although it was enhottenated, it was a recording, and not a live call. Kinda sucks to have the latter axons, because all the axon spikes have been taken before then.

Anyway... mark the Taco Shop HOT and CONFIRMED. I'll attempt Cabrillo tomorrow afternoon (if the phones are still ringing).

I was thinking about this while working on the puzzles on Tuesday. Should I PM you guys my cell #? If there's a puzzle and we're trying to coordinate, how connected do you want to be?

I don't use my cell phone unless someone is bleeding, and I don't even carry it unless I think someone will be, so giving me yours probably won't do any good. Also, I haven't been in any anime stores in months.

I do, however, check these forums frequently on event days.

Edit: Im off of work on tue so im going to go get at least one of the axons...(prolly ECB) may hit some of the others as well. Will see about that...now all i need is to find a friend that has a digital camera...

I'm thinking about taking Tues. afternoon off, so I may try the Zoo or El Cajon 7-11 again... but I'll definitely be going to Cabrillo, since it's on my way to school (La Jolla).
