 		opening the image files with EDIT
i haven't read all the posts but have you guys opened the images with EDIT in DOS? i have just checked one of the files "danapicnic[1]" and if you read all the weird symbols you will find some readable text (dana is my friend) maybe it is the leftover of the changes of the program used to edit the image, but maybe something else can be found in other images

Here is where your Trout was posted back in early August.

Also, in the future, please include whether you are referring to a GIF or JPG, just for completeness.

Good find! The people on the forums have been busy bees themselves, and we did indeed notice the text inserted into the corrupted images some time ago - thanks for the links, Mazian!

I'm going to go ahead and lock this thread, but please, do stick around, lurk a bit, check out our various player-created resources (like the wiki and coordinates charts, etc.), and enjoy! Please, do use the search in case you find something 'new' - there's a possibility it's already been found and being discussed in an existing thread. Smile
