[SPEC] Sleeping Princess is Janissary James

Think about it.

1st) They are around the same age.
2nd) Jan has something to hide, she seems unhuman to me. Maybe an android? She did make that jump it seems.
3rd) Her consciousness could have been transplanted with some accident to ILB and Sleeping Princess can't remember who she is. (see new 404 page)

AND on the 404 page the SP says:
>But girls like me, we take some catching.

JUST LIKE @ THE POLICE STATION.

BTW I went to the Mobile, AL axon and there were two phones there, but neither rang. It's @ a bus station and there were no pay phones inside.

1) We don't know how old SP is, or if it can be equated to human years.
2) Jan made a great leap, but we're not even sure SP has real legs.
3) Going to need more evidence to back that up. Normal people dont normally become smart AIs.

Well, it's an interesting similarity (?)

We have to go into this thinking that there is some connection between the AIs and the audio, but I don't know if that's necessarily it. We know that SP is learning as she goes, so perhaps she access to the fragments of memory left in the queen and is modeling her own personality around that which she identifies closest with; that of Jannisary James.

Not sure if that provides any leads, however.

I Hypothysized that Jan (or some subset thereof) is the Princess in the Freud thread. Not going to quote it here.

Well, Durga DID say she could do "better" than getting pictures of Jan for Jersey.

Are you suggesting something like...

[tinfoil SPEC hat on]
I haven't read the Halo novels, but if I understand what I've heard correctly... kids that are kidnapped for Spartan training get replaced with "flash clones" that have a limited lifespan. The process of making a flash clone seems like it would be vaguely similar to the process of making an AI: both involve the duplication of a living brain's memories/personality/etc. into a new host "body."

So if we go with the "Jan is a Spartan" hypothesis... then at some point she would've been cloned. Perhaps Durga, seeing that Jan has been cloned, could use the data (conveniently archived somewhere?) to create an AI duplicate of Jan.
[/tinfoil SPEC hat off]

All of which is probably absurd, and probably doesn't even fit with the actual details of the flash cloning or AI generation process, which I don't know since, as I said, I haven't read any of the books.

My thought is that Jan (or her father - maybe they're breeding them as it'd be cheaper that way) is USDA vat grown. Less pesky explain your experimentation to the family stuff that way. Anyhow....

OK, you have this teen-girl supersoldier (And there are a lot of people out there who would buy your game based on that descirption alone) who has just been "activated", maybe had some of her memories supressed, quickly trained and put in cold sleep in a big glass box in a starship. Only she's not cold enough (or too cold - Niven wrote a story about this. And about a ringworld now that I think of it. ) Anyhow, for whatever reason she is capable of thought despite the cold sleep and somehow, maybe using the same tallents that let her beat the PQI, is sending (or has sent) tendrils of thought out into the ships systems.

No need to slice, dice or further manipulate the multi-talented Miss James. Just debrief her, put her in the cold sleep box and let Murphy's law take over.

Sleeping Princess is most likely Jan James, or some other Spartan. I submit the following for my evidence, taken from the wakeup sequence for the Master Chief.

That is a good one... The Princess was supposed to be in a "glass, air tight, coffin"...

But, the Princess isn't in her coffin anymore... She escaped... Didn't she?

The thing about good stories is that something abnormal happens. If everything normal happened in stories we'd be able to predict everything. We can't rule out possibilities just because they feel unlikely in logics sense.

If Jan was kept in a casket, maybe there was a crash, a system failure, or something, which awoke her mind (and cybernetic implants which, like the spartan-IIs armor, could contain an AI also) but not her body.

She slipped into the AI's realm instead of the physical, and her mind is generating allegories to represent the data that she is seeing working around the server.

Jan does have a good princess like demeanor.

While Spartan II's were enhanced humans, who were already in existence, little is known about the original Spartan program and less is known about the ONI Super Soldier program. While Jan could not be a Spartan II, we can't rule out that she's a Spartan I, III, Super Soldier, or like entity.

Also, the Axon Files make it pretty stinkin' clear that Jan is by no means your average, or even above average, human.

Now if Jan=Durga (=Melissa?), we could assume that her enhancements made her so intelligent that they did map her to an AI. After all, they mapped Dr. Halsey to an AI because of her high intelligence level.

Halsey mapped herself to an AI (2 AIs, Déja originally and then Cortana). Not due to her greater intellect, but because she wrote the AI code (? «not sure on this one) and wanted some of her personality to be transferred to Cortana to help protect the Chief.

Durga/Jersey/Sleeping Princess

Durga is clearly the Sleeping Princess.

1. She has no idea who she is. Just like SP.
2. She can fend off Navy Sentinels. Like SP with the PF.
3. She likes to find things and show off that she knows them. Just like SP.
4. She wants to know who she is. Just like SP.
5. Knowing that SP is Durga doesn't bring us any closer to knowing
who SP is.

To have an accurate timeline, we have to keep in mind that the events
in the .wav files happen before the ship wreck NOT after ILB.

Keeping that in mind, Jersey's father fears for the safety of his son and
brings him aboard his ship. Jersey ofcourse brings Durga. Where to keep
her? How about the shipboard systems? The Operator may not be a
smart A.I. and Durga obviously is. Durga can atleast hide in the system.
Just like SP in the Castle. So, when the Operator is telling the Captain
that there is possibly an unknown intrusion, that's Durga.

Something happens. The ship wrecks and Durga goes with it. Having
already "crashed" into a system, and surviving, Durga directs them into
another. ILB.

The popular [Spec] is that the PF is the intrusion but we might need to
keep an open mind as more info is revealed.

Perhaps the arrival of the PF (or a three way A.I. battle royal) is what
causes the accident.

There's my two cents, let's hear yours.

Rampant spec: Sleeping Princess is Jeanie.

Think about it: what does a Jeanie do? She basically sleeps in a bottle until someone rubs it and wakes her up (though the extent of "sleeping" is arguable, but it's minor details, I feel).

Anyway, remember what Jeanie said before she kicked off? "I feel dizzy... woozy... drowzy" - she's falling asleep - or, rather, falling into some kind of comatose state.

Jersey thinks Durga "killed her", but what if they both had mistaken her coma for a clinical death? She didn't get "evaporated" - she somehow got sealed in air-tight encryption? Or some encrypted core of hers stayed in whatever would be their equivalent of a registry?

Sleeping Princess wrote:
The Sleeping Princess passed through a great variety of scenes, and met with many extraordinary dventures and narrow escapes, which, however, can not be here particularly detailed.

Well, her getting "evaporated" by Durga (who, I think, is Melissa) would qualify as a rather narrow escape, wouldn't it?

I think I can see my spec wearing thin because it would conveniently explain too many things at once: the basis of connection between Melissa and SP; SP's raging dislike of Melissa; SP's relative certainty about her safety and Melissa's inability to grab her; SP's affection towards humans - while failing to explain some other stuff (like, "why would Jeanie 'sting'?" and "why would Jeanie possibly know anything about Melissa's mission?"), but still, I think this might be worth keeping in mind as a possibility.
