But I'm really pumped for Sunday because I think we're going to have a Feast for Bees at Cork 'N Cleaver that night. Of course, I'm going to need a little more money, cos I have about $20 to my name right now, and I hear that place isn't cheap.

Damn!! I'd love to join you guys but I'm leaving for Cali on Saturday. I'm dying to find out what happens on sunday (be it live transmission or whatever).

I'm still toying around with the idea of heading to down to San Francisco. It'll be like a 6 hour drive since I'll be in L.A... hmm...

As for what's gonna happen, it seems fairly likely that this will be a chance to play halo2 multiplayer a week before anyone else (with the possibility for some free schwag). My guess is that the different cities will be linked via xbox live.

Forgot this part

The strangest part about all this is that I hadn't registered on the Unforums before today.

Oh yeah, and by the way...the one part in all this I forgot was:
Melissa: "Are you in contact with any of the other teams?"
brian: "Yes."
Melissa: "Let them know about your success."

We rule.

And I'd definitely be in for an AZ beekeeper sort of clan. Even if there's not a clan, I'll be playing H2 on Live. My gamertag's Fenwicked (surprise, surprise) feel free to look me up.[/quote]

Sounds good Fenwicked. An AZ Bee Clan is a must. My gamer tag on PC halo has always been Mr. Bean. It's fun to see him kick someones butt. Not that I'm that great but I can't do some damage. I used to go by MastrBlastr but everybody came gunnin' for me which made for real short lived fun. Anyway my NEW Xbox live account will start up next week and My tag then will be 1MateBean (That's how Melissa has always written First Mate Bean). Hey buy the way on another subject line, has anyone purchased any of the ilovebees items from the Aunt Margaret's Cafe store before they disappear? I have. It's pretty good merch. (Mugs, Mouse Pads, Shirts, Hats etc.)

Hey Gang:

Some of you had seemed surprised to hear I had a live call so I thought I'd go back and find my original posting on the ilovebees blog and copy it for your review. Ah those were the days back then.

Here it is:

Hello fellow crew members:

I have a story to tell of my conversation with the QUEEN today and the Sleeping Princess. Yes the Princess. Where should I start. First of all this going to be a long post but read it all and you may get some helpful bits of information. I answered the phone today in Phoenix Arizona at 12:26PDT. I had just finished answering the 12:22PDT and 12:24PDT. They were the typical recorded message with question. Then the 12:26PDT rang. Here is what happened per DANA'S REQUEST.

The QUEEN spoke as normal but sounded different. She sounded LIVE. YEP A LIVE CALL FOLKS.

She said she wanted to transmit but needed to make sure I was trustworthy. She asked the question of the day, "What is my favorite song?". I said 'STORMY WEATHER'. She asked "How does it go?" I had to bull crap my way out of that one. I justed started singing Stormy Weather to a made up tune and made up lyrics. She said that was good and asked me what my name was. I go by Mr. BEAN on my online HALO PC play, (Fun to kick some but with a lame name)so I said FIRST MATE BEAN. She said okay, what's your favorite song. I said 'Every Breath You Take'. "How does it go?" she asked. So I started singing it up until the point where it says I'll be watching you. At this point she started to freak. "Watching you! That sounds like spying! Why is your favorite song about spying?" I said 'It keeps me on my toes and reminds me that someones always watching us. "Who's watching?" she asked. I said 'I don't know, they're spies.

At this point it became very difficult to hear what she was saying because my phone was in a mall in front of a GAME WORKS Arcade and Food Court and six bus loads of school kids walked up while we were talking.

The QUEEN said "What are all of those loud voices I hear?" 'They are children' I said. "Children! Why are you with children!?" I said 'They have come here to eat and play games'. "What kind of games?" she asked. 'Video games' I said.

(Okay this I said she said is getting old. From now on the QUEENS remarks will be in " " and mine will be in ' ')

'Video games'. "They watch them?" 'Yes, and sometimes interact.' "Like war games. Battle training simulators?" 'Yes, perhaps something like that.' "That's how they do it you know. They take the children and train them young." "Why are they so loud though?" 'They seem happy'. "Happy! how could they be after what they are doing to them?" 'They don't it. They've been tricked'. "That's terrible to trick them."
Then she said something about trust and you can't trust and then she satrted blubbering about bees again. Well fortunately I had read up on my blogs and web forums and new that when the QUEEN broke down we needed to call for the SP, so I did.

I said 'Princess wake up, wake up'. (The Princess Answered immediately) "HELP HELP ME!" "Wait! Who are you?" 'I'm first mate Bean'. "No! I don't know you. Go away!" 'Princess I want to help you.' "No you can't! Go away." 'Princess we need to help you. How can we help?' "I'm alone. I'm lost. You can't" 'Yes I can just tell me how we can help.' "I don't know. I left baloons for my family to follow and find me but they haven't come. Why won't they come?" 'What color are your baloons?' (I know they are red but I wanted to make sure she knew too.) "They are red. Red is a beautiful color." "I left one on a broken lamp post. Can I go to it? Is it okay?" (As soon as she said that I was like duh. Of course. You leave a trail of bred crumbs not for someone to find you but for you to find your way back to someone or someplace.) I said 'Yes, but be careful.' "Okay, I'll go to it." "Look. I see another one on a trash can. Nut its covered with stuff I don't understand. Its disgusting." 'Don't look at it but go to it.' "Okay I won't look." "Alright I see another baloon tied to a rusty old bench with sharp jagged edges. Should I go to it?" 'Yes, but don't touch it. Be careful.' "Okay, I will." 'Do you see another balloon?' "No, not a balloon. I see a large building. No wait its a tower! A transmission tower! And it has electric weasels coming in and out of it and theyre talking." 'Are you okay?' "Yes this is familiar. I remember this but the electric weasels wont tell me how to get home." 'Do you see any balloons yet?' "Yes the weasels have told me how to find a pth with more red balloons. The red balloons go on and on down the path. Oh No!" 'What's wrong?' "There is a fork in the road with three paths to choose form and a sign on each."

(At this point the kids were really getting loud and I could barely hear. In fact I didn't hear what the first sign said.)

"The sign on the path to the left says...????? The sign on the center path says ....(Something about apostles) and the sign on the right says....(Something about past sins). Then the Princess started crying. "I don't know which one to take do you know?" Unfortunately folks I couldn't remember the earlier Error page contents that would have probably answered this one for me and gotten the princess back home. I guessed and guessed wrong. I said 'Take the center path princess' "Okay" which was shortly followed by her screams. That was real hard folks. I have a seven month old baby boy and that sound sent chills up my spine. I felt responsible. This game is intense. I hope that someone will read this and know how to get past this point if they get a chance to help her. At this point though the Queen came back on.

"Hello are you there?" 'Yes I'm here' "Did you hear something strange in my transmission?" 'No, nothing strange.' )Unlike whepumm or whatever his name is, I try to cover for the Princess. "Okay good, but I cant use this frequency any more. Spell your name for me." So i did. "What ship are you from?" 'Apocolypso' "Oh, you were on my ship. Good! I need trustworthy crew like you." "How can I contact you?" I proceeded to give my number and agree to answer future transmissions and report to all of you.

There it is folks. I was at that mall last week by myself and today by myself. And it paid off. I drove twenty miles and took a two hour lunch. Worth every minute of it. Later.........

Everyone is invited to the Feast for Bees. Except Master Chief Chappy, who had the gall to laugh at the Princess' death. That made me sad like you would not believe.

Really? I laughed when she died too. Just thinking about the hearts of all my fellow crew members being ripped to shreds at her pathetic wailing pleased me greatly. Why do you think I was pulling for the Cardinals in the World Series?

We're up on the 404 page. Kind of disappointing that there isn't more to the crew WAVs, really, but our names and our stupid cheer made it in Laughing

This Sunday's axon list coming shortly.

Okay, now let me put out a call, in really big letters:
WHO IS COMING TO ASU ON SUNDAY?
We're going to need a sizeable team. And we're also going to go out to eat at Cork 'N Cleaver for the 14:45-15:10, provided we can get there in less than 45 minutes from ASU. We're going to need a person at Tolleson at that time too though Sad

Fenwicked, can you get any or all of the Peoria axons? I can't recall whether you were planning to make it to ASU for the main barrage or not. I don't want to deny anyone the excitement of making a trip to ASU... *plants tongue firmly in cheek*

Finally, nobodyman, are you making it out to the San Francisco exercise? If so, see you there! Smile

We don't actually need that many people at ASU. They don't require movement, remember. We could, in theory, only need three people, and we have four on call.

Anyway, the ASU axons are completely under control - I talked with Brian, and we don't need more people here. If you want to help, and you're in the Phoenix Area, go for the AZ Mills ones - those are the ones we can't get.

We don't need other people around, but we certainly wouldn't turn anyone away. Admittedly we are kind of axon greedy Wink but hey, it's a party. We're good about not fighting for phones.

As far as Cork 'N Cleaver goes (or, for that matter, any of the non-ASU axons) who's coming? We need to get that together by tomorrow afternoon.

I should be able to get the Peoria axons. Good thing for that time change, if it was at 11, I'd still be in church. I'm considering the possibility of running down to AZ Mills after the first 3 calls. I'll have 85 minutes till the next one at the Peoria phone, and I don't think even I can entertain myself at a gas station for that long. I'm thinking I might be able to get from 91st and Olive to AZ Mills in 35 minutes if traffic is just awesome and I drive a little bit faster than I'm supposed to. Smile I'd be really pushing it though, so if we can get someone(s) else for the Mills axons, that'd be great. And even if I do get down there, 7 calls in two locations at the same time is just a little... you know... impossible for one person. Wink
And I'm planning on being there for the Feast. There are those pesky Tolleson calls though. I suppose if nobody else can make those I could get them.
