I think most of us just threw our names in the pot and hoped Dana would pick us to send us the stuff. Email her your address & such and maybe you'll get one. (danatwingSPLATgmail.com)

AFAIK no one's driving down to Tucson, although I've been surprised before. Smile

Hey guys. Just found this thread. I'm in Tucson and just wanted to ask if anyone besides me is going to be there on Sunday...

I wasn't in a clan and didn't get to do all that much in game, but I had fun anyways...

1st Mate Bean, I don't know if you'll see this in time, but I don't think I can swing the Peoria axon today. But if you can get that one, I should be able to reach Tolleson.

I've been toying with the idea of coming down with a 4-hour cold so I can go to Tucson today after work, but I don't really see it happening. I'd have to cut out of work earlier than it looks like I'll be able to, and I'd get home late, which doesn't fly either. I've gotta get to sleep early tonight cause I'm leaving on a cruise to Mexico in the morning. (I know, life's tough, huh? Smile ) I'll get back Monday evening, just in time to take a short nap and head over to EB at midnight to pick up my copy of H2 which has been preordered and paid-in-full since May 17. I've been kinda anticipating this game. Wink

I'm hoping Dana will find me worthy of receiving a DVD by mail. I don't know why not, since it seems anyone who even knows about ILB can get one at the cache sites. I'll have my fingers crossed.

Just because I felt compelled to do it, not because Fenwicked didn't do a good job beforehand, but, to recruit & reiterate:

CONTACTME AXONS: 11/04

Also, just for kicks:
PERSONAL CALLS
  • LCpl G3K :: 11:11
  • Lt. Cmdr. Brian :: 11:29
  • Ens. Annette :: 11:35
  • Cmdr. Pegasus :: 12:44
  • 1 st Mate Bean :: 14:10

If I've neglected anyone or anything up there, let me know.

Y'all are seriously going to have to call my, er, personal "chatter" while this is all going on, and leave messages. My flight is at 14:05 so whoever's beekeeping beforehand at home or abroad (on the road? what I meant to say was actually getting these axons) should let me know what's up so I'm up on things when I get to SF.

Lastly, thank you so much, everyone, for making this the awesomest beekeeping experience ever. I'm not gonna get all awards-ceremony-y, but 1 st Mate Bean deserves the biggest props for Most Dedicated Beekeeper, stealthily grabbing ASU and AZ Mills axons before we Wise Men even had our pants on the right way. I hope everything's going all right with the family sickneess situation, and I wish you the best of luck in all post-beekeeping endeavors. Hold fast.

As for the rest of the Myriad Wise Men... well, if I paid any attention to rank, I'd let Bob do this, but whatever. You guys are awesome. I couldn't ask for better friends or co-beekeepers.

And as for the rest of the AZ 'Keepers: Stay awesome ^__^

Hey thanks for the props! I wish beyond all else that I could have gone to SF for the training. Not because I want to play before the rest of the world but because it would rock to be there with a building full of ILBeers and Haloholics. What a party. Without a doubt your a blessed man. All is well now with family too. Thank's again everyone. I only met Fenwicked but the rest of you were awesome when it counted. Presidential debate invaders:) If any of you care to play online my gamertag is changing so you'll have to email me for my new one. bskinnerSPLATdoctorptak.com

UH OH! The sirens the sirens. I gotta go. THE COVIES ARE COMING THE COVIES ARE COMING!!!

Dude, looks like one of your crew made a cameo in Jane McGonigal's (aka Dana's) presentation on ILB. Czech out page 16 . about 2/3 down the list annette.spyker shows up. it lookw like she's labeling the dvd requests...

kinda funny (both in the "ha ha" and "that's wierd" sense), don't you think?

Thank you all, both my fellow team members from the Myriad Wise Men, the other AZ azon hunters, and all those involved with this game. I haven't been terribly active posting on these boards, primarily because there wasn't a lot to add, and because G3K was largely our diplomat. It's been an absolutely spectacular experience, and one I won't forget for a long time.

So...what now?

It's been great.
