 		But the harmony.wav file on recipe3.html has one of the characters giving a very good description of what the device onboard the Apocalypso is.

He may just be guessing, or else he could be in on intelligence that we do not have. In that case, the coffin that opened in the Shipwreck, would be a Covenent device, which could in fact make the SP a Covenent AI. Which would also go on to possibly classify the Flea as something that is not Covenent due to it's inability to examine the SP. I am just taking the most wild aspects of this though.

 		Let me reiterate: I don't trust the SP. She's up to no good.
Melissa is on our side since she's one of ours.
If Melissa wants her contained, there is a good reason for it.

[SPEC] What if flea is on our side also. Melissa is Navy, flea is ONI.

Yeah, I've started wondering about that. I mean, if she's Forerunner AI, we're talking about a race who found it acceptable to destroy all large-scale life in a galaxy just to keep their little science experiment under control. Helping her might give us bigger problems than just accidentally transmitting the coordinates of Earth to the Covenant.

 		[spec]

1. Whatever the SP is, she was somehow taken on board the Apacalypso while it was far, far away from Earth.

2. The SP had some influence over the ship.

3. When the ship did its supposedly random slipstream jump, the SP covertly directed it towards earth.

4. The SP interrupted the slipstream escape to crash the Apacalypso into Earth orbit in order to spy on Earth communications. (I got this idea from a recent audio clip which shows that Durga is scanning the world's email.)

5. Durga is a detachment of the SP - an appendage used for gathering information. (Kind of like how starfish send out their stomachs to digest food outside thier bodies.)

Or we could be in on intelligence that he doesn't have. Think about it, the only intelligence ONI has on the Forerunner are the stones. They hypothesize that it could be the product of some race other than the Covenant, but they didn't really know anything. They even considered the stones, as well as Halo, to be Covenant for a brief period.

It wasn't until Reach and Halo that we knew anything about the Forerunner.

Which, considering some hints, I don't think is strictly true, but I think we should consider this to be the story for the average ONI spook.
