An ARG for a film Hi everyone,
First of all I'm new to this board, so a big hello to everyone! I look forward to posting on this forum more often.
I come to u in need of some assistance. My friend and I have a small film company and we wanting to have a small ARG game to go with an action thriller film we currently wirting. It's a corporate espionage film and involves clock and dagger stunts. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in assisting me with setting one up, or atleast just explain the fundamentals, I think I'm on the right track but not 100% sure so I'm wanting to collaborate and share ideas etc. I'm currently based in London.
I'm also looking at setting up more arg games for the future, film or non-film inspired.
I look forward to any contact from those interested and take care!
I'll be monitoring this post.
Kind regards
SeanB

Hi Sean, and welcome to Unfiction!
I'm by no means the most experienced person on here, although I do work in marketing and love seeing this kind of stuff done to market films and products. When is the film looking to launch, and whereabouts will that be done (nationwide, independant cinemas only etc.). What kind of budget do you have for this project? Are you looking to create a web based game, or one with real life interactions as well (this would be very cool in London!)?
The most cost and time effective way to find out stuff might be to talk voice, and I'd be happy to give you my mobile number if you want to talk. At the moment, though, I wouldn't have time to help with the actual PMing, but no doubt there are plenty of people here who would! Just drop me a message here if you want to get in touch.
Fi

Hmm... PM-ing could be fun, but I don't know if I have the time for it.
If you could e-mail the details, like when it starts, where it is based and such, I will see if I can help out.

I live in Sweden, so I can't help out with real interactions in London, though.

Hey guys,
Fi - Great to hear from you! I wonder how many people are in marketing that are involved with ARG as I've found a few, including myself.
This game would involve offline interacttion for sure, I see that as not an option but as a needed thing. Just hooked up with someone in the industry this morning so things might begin in the "factory" soon. I'd like to meet if possbile and we can talk about ARG's and this project if you like? You can email me on inggs @ hotmail.com with your contact number and I'll be in touch shortly bud.
David - No problem being in Sweden, I don't see this just been London. I'll be in touch soon with you on that email address
Thanks guys!

Sean, it might also help for you to check out the puppet masters guide. There is a classifieds as a message, with anyone wanting to pm showing their strengths. Thats worth your time to check. For me, between moving to another state, composing music for a movie and pming and programming a pinball machine, life doesnt give me too much free time...
