Hi Bladex2x, welcome along!

I'd tried the Oneplayer.co.uk link as well- the designer currently works for Bostock and Pollitt, but there's no mention on their site of their involvement in the game. I assume it was just oneplayer moonlighting between roles.

Your info about the webcam is interesting- worth a look! Let us know if you find anything.

The webcam directory is open >

Day 7 is interesting. 110 is the sum of the two highways ( 61 + 49 )

Stella Artois Contact...

After stumbling across a "www.helpmefindjon.com" chalk pavement graffito just off St. Philip's Cathedral churchyard in Birmingham, I have acquainted myself with all 150 posts and the various Marlowe made websites.

I have left a message with a Kirsty of Stella Artois marketing / promotions asking whether they have any connection with www.helpmefindjon.com etc. Any info I receive I will promptly post Smile

PS (to what does "A game in the vein of :K: ?" refer?)

:k: was a game similar to this that was put on by BMW. If you're interested, you should be able to find the threads here on it if you search for BMW or :k: Welcome aboard Smile

Yeah, :K: was the only precursor to this I could find, in the sense of a) being run by a corporate, non-gaming company (Jaguar Cars) and b) having clues in the adverts - although as far as I know there haven't quite been any clues in the adverts yet.

Or maybe it's another piece of junk from the runners of this game, who keep putting out random nonsense instead of real clues. As soon as the webcam directory was posted on here - they stick up a new picture ! wow ! mysterious. come on people ... get this thing moving

pilot film review

im sorry if this has come up b4 (ive just read through all the posts, but might have missed it) but it seems that the review of "pilot" by sebastian 'artois' is of the stella commercial where a pilot is given up to the germans so that a pint doesnt run over, hence the plot and the information that the running time may be shorter than expected. i know this is just another pointer to stella, but this is really just to say im on board and im looking!

Hmm.. it didn't even occur to me that the spiral in that damned tracing question was also fibonacci related, but there it is spelled out for us on the webcam. Iiiinteresting...

Anyhow, has anyone attempted a desteg on that hourglass yet? I'm currently downloading the proper freeware or I'd be on it myself. Given how blatant these people can be sometimes, I wouldn't be surprised if the password was as easy as "Leo."

Howdy, I'm new here and this is mostly to say hello.

However, I thought it was also worth pointing out that Goethe, who wrote Faust, is credited as having a fascination with the Golden Ratio, phi, Fibonacci numbers etc. Apparently he even wrote a paper about the ratio occuring in plants. He is also credited witn saying "Geometry is frozen music", which could link to the 'music of the spheres'...

Anyway, it might be worth pursuing the Goethe angle a bit more. I've read Faust, but years ago - maybe I'll give it another crack.

House of Carde

All new to this game & forum, but hi to all here.

It might be nothing, but searching on the web produced the detail that 'carde' is Tolkien elvish for 'house':

What really puzzles me is the weather forecast at http://www.hornchurchstar.com/weather_ok.php.
I have never seen these signs on any weather forecast around here (germany) and they look sort of strange.
The key might be the key to solve some other puzzle, but maybe I'm just on a totally wrong lead...

I don't think the signs mean anything..I've never seen anything like it before either...

Ok, i'm posting this rather half heartedly... the first two symbols reminded me of something, so i ran to some rune sights online, and if you take off the slight "arrow point" on each of them

the thunder storm symbol is --- Raidho (G), Raidha (Goth.), Rad (OE), Reidh (ON), Ruig (Gael): wheels, a journey, spiritual reunion
Number: 5
Letter: R

the Lightning symbol is --- Kenaz (G), Kusma (Goth.), Cen or Ken (OE), Kaun (ON), Ken (Gael): opening, light, torch, fire, to know, creative
Number: 6
Letter: c and k

However, while there is an upward araw, and a minor s/z looking symbol, there is nothing that resembols a dollar symbol in anything i've seen other than american money. And the last one looks familiar in some way, but certainly too rounded to be runic. i'll keep looking around, maybe if i find where that symbol comes from, i'll find a connection to the others.

You might want to check out the Best on Screen part of the Stella Artois site http://www.stellascreen.co.uk/stellascreen/index.jsp

It's had a movie called 'Help Me Find Jon' in it's top ten a few times recently, with a picture of Brigid and listing her as the Director. The only desciption of the movie is the helpmefindjon.com URL. Just another way of roping people into it all, I guess.

Photography

I've located the site of the photographer who has taken the Stella Artois shots that tie in with this game:

www.olaf-veltman.com

If you go to p6 of his on-line portfolio, the last three images may prove useful.
