Photography

I've located the site of the photographer who has taken the Stella Artois shots that tie in with this game:

www.olaf-veltman.com

If you go to p6 of his on-line portfolio, the last three images may prove useful.

Hi,

this is the first time I have had a go at this so apologies for stating the obvious or getting the completly wrong idea of what to do.

I have taken the assessment several times and my scores change each time, I wonder if there is a particular order or score needed to get a reply? I have done the crossword nothing obvious and have tried to ROT the first letters with nothing found. I have just written a review on the stella best screen site, see what happens.

One last thing have found a long review of Van Helsing by Jon Harker that turns into a bit of a rant. Not sure if its connected or not.

Jon Harker?

As in 'Johnathan Harker'?

As in Johnathan and Mina Harker, characters from Dracula?

Yeah, just keep an eye on that neck buddy.

If there is a link between jon harker and Dracula, could this explain the mysterious marks on his 'alledged' sister Brigid's neck???

P.s. Hi, I'm new and hooked!

eh, i don't think so... i mean, i'm a vampy buff, and those marks are not only sized wrong, but i've never seen "bite marks" placed on the front of the neck, unless it was in ripping out the throat. in order to bite in the angle, there would be many more problems.

while i find it cute that jon posted in reguard to van hesling, i also have an inkling that perhaps this is not our jon, but rather someone using the name to make the post, out of cuteness. i mean, the email listed for that poster is twinpicklesSPLATonetel.net.uk

aye!

I suppose so, just that clue to 1 down in the crossword does mention jon harker as ......... Dracula diarist and protagonist (6)

also 2 down on crossword should be

I emailed the editor at Flux, being careful to remain in-game and cautious, but he happily told me that the article on the House of Carde was "a strange twisted up fictional story based around the Stella campaign."

So we know that Flux are out-of-game. I then tried emailing the Lounge Lovers bar, asking if anyone had rented the bar on 31st October. Their response?

"We didn't have an Halloween party and unfortunately I am not allowed to give details on other customers."

Another dead end, I think. I'm still sure there must be a significance to the message on Marlowe's site, but what I'm not sure. Any guesses?

hello again,

i don't seem to be making much progress.

Hoxton square:

i have been to hoxton sq (like simonjp) and saw the foutain, pic attached, did not notice anything which looked like a clue there was a brass plate attached to the fountain which i took a picture of but it did not come out properly so i will go again and take another photo over the week end.

the only other thing that i thought was the golden curve could be started from the foutain and lead out using the numbers form the web cam directory.????

Faust

i have just brought faust and started reading it. learnt nothing so far, apart from the fact that dr faustucs was written by christopher marlowe who was a shoreditch resident, which is the borough where hoxton square is located. Which also lead to Marlowe digtal.?

Web searches

google searches on man in black jon harker etc lead no where.

EBay,

have brought from brigid flux magzine with house of carde artical in it. will read nd see what i find. not holding out much hope about it though after post from simonjp above.

one thing i have noticed is. and i will appoligise to jothebulb in advance if i am completely wrong and this is just a coincidence, is that the location that jothebulb give's is an ordeance survey map reference which when googled leads to a earth work called devils dyke????? which i might go and look at tommorrow

has anyone else had any luck?

What if...

There are a few things that I've been thinking about in the vein of this: what if Jon Harker doesn't /want/ to be found, even by his sister? He evidently made an inadvertent deal with Sable and Shuck, leading to the Director of Acquisitions going after him; S&S was the company donating the reward, which is quite obvious from the amount of money. Perhaps his sister made an equivalent deal, to get her brother back...and what if doing this will cause her to lose /her/ soul as well as his?

It might be an interesting case of 'damned if you do, damned if you don't'.

Re: What if...

i don't think it IS his sister..... we have no proof as to anything other than he's missing/in hiding and that S&S is evil & can't find him.

they are obviously desperate to do so, and if i've learned anything over the last few months it's that a company desperate to find someone will gladly trick the common man into helping them.

Response from DraftLondon, yay :)

As promised in my earlier post:

From: claire.wrightSPLATdraftlondon.com <claire.wright@draftlondon.com>

Subject: Re: www.helpmefindjon.com

Dear Elaine

Thank you for your email and congratulations on your detective work.

Whilst the sites are littered with clues as to which product is involved in
the goings on in Hornchurch et al, there were only a few clues as to who
really created these sites.

However, the 'reward' mentioned is real, and it would be unfair on the
other players if I were to comment any further at this stage.

Hopefully this has satisfied your curiosity. If you require any more
information you may find the following link helpful.

http://ad-rag.com/110836.php

Apart from this, the best way to find out more is to play the game. The
clues are there.

Regards

Claire

Psemmusa, I'm not really sure what that means- The reward is real (crikey) but is Brigid (within the game universe)? I'd be concerned with informing S&S Jon's location since he's likely to have gone into hiding, and evidence points to Brigid being either part of S&S or at least being manipulated by them. What're everyone's thoughts on this- would you post Jon's location on Brigid's site?
