So... I got the negotiations letter, and it says to resume contact at midnight. You guys waited a while for your User ID confirmation, so does that mean that mine will actually come at midnight tonight or do I have to wait for ages?

I haven't recieved my contract offer yet either, but I do have my user id.

I'm thinking that we have to attain a certain score before we get a response...

So far my highest has been 75, with a derivitive of 46.

Different questions have the yes/no different ways around. And I think that the "pure" answer is the one on the left.

So we should always pick the answer on the left?

I tried that once and got a weird score... Perhaps I'll try again.

In the Sable and Shuck privacy policy, there is a small section in Greek letters, entitled the Lepidopteran clause. Ledipodtera in latin for butterflies, I think. Anywho, substituting in English letters for the Greek gets:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Butterflies are souls of the dead waiting to pass through Purgatory.

Pathway Travel has the same privacy policy.

According to Jon Harker's page, the devil collects souls like butterflies.

This game is wonderfully slick. I likes it!

Hornchurch Crossword Puzzle

Having nothing better to do, I solved the crossword. Following is a list of the solutions correspodning to the numbers given in the clues.

ACROSS:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
3. Hades, 5. sable, 6. Eden, 9. blood, 10. reassuringly, 11. raven, 14. trident, 16. Adam, 17. Cerebrus, 18. contract, 20. acquisition, 27. cargo, 28. damnation, 29. smallprint, 31. expensive, 32. Goethe

DOWN:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1. Harker, 2. rogue, 3. hoof, 4. soul, 7. director, 8. Hornchurch, 12. temptation, 13. pact, 15. Dante, 18. crossroad, 19. shuck, 21. serpent, 22. Purgatory, 23. inferno, 24. Johnson, 25. ophis, 26. Marlowe, 30. Eve

Well, that was fun. I don't think it means a damned thing, though.

Pun intended.

Just re-took the test... answering using only those answers on the left lead me to a soul derivitive of 34 and a score of 50.

*edit: just re took it again, clicking all on the left, got a score of 75, soul derivitive of 47*

Dunno if you guys saw the S&S ads yet. I found one in the magazine Edge by complete mistake. Was paging through, and found this guy signing a contract for a pack of beer. I was like "Wait a tick... That's Sable & Shuck's office!"

So, yeah, I was suprised to say the least. I'm guessing these ads are the thing that's suppose to bring people to S&S.

I'm apparently worth 80 and my soul derivative is 50. Not bad.

deltina, what was your answer pattern?

meaning, did you click predominantly on one side or the other?

and... did you answer yes or no to the first q?

No to the first question, and I didn't sit there and count how many times I clicked on one side of the screen. I moved back and forth though. I just answered with the idea "Which one sounds more 'pure and lucrative' to the devil?" in mind.

Except for the first one, the questions change.

Did any fo you get the question where you have to trace a spiral, but your mouse moves in the opposite direction you move it in?

IMPOSSIBLE.

I had the spiral test, after I realized it was going backwards, I did pretty good. But I couldn't finish the last little bit because my mouse slipped off the aplet. My soul is worth is 70, and the derivative was 44.
