[OT]Theorized connection between the audio files and halo2

I searched and didn't see anything on this but did anyone think that Jan could be halo2's master chief?

I have a way this is possible

in Halo Master Cheifs name was John 117. In the audio files Jan's father is named john though is last name is james but if you read the books then you know that the kids in the spartan(sp?) project were given 3 digit numbers so James could be a fictional name and or his original last night. So this would mean Jan could be master cheifs daugther and if you dont believe that there are other evidence to it.

1:She broke into a military base and jumped off a roof without so much as getting a scratch.
2:She beat a lie detector without much effort
3:Her father makes reference that they need to becareful because of who they are
4:John was in a special special forces military team
5:He never talks about the war

So now how do i get the assumption that Halo2 doesn't have the same master cheif. well if you saw the first video from like a year ago. He had a different voice which is quite robotic. Why would the change his voice from one game to another and make it less human unless it was a different person.

Now to get Jan into the suit i would up watching Red Vs. Blue and remember the whole Tex thing with the voice changer which made me think that Bungie might have this female taking over the role of master cheif with either the suit and or some other hardware altering her voice. If it's true then this would atleast shed some light on the reasoning for having the audio files centered around Jan

Oh and sorry if this was posted i didn't find anything though

First of all, since all of the SPARTAN-II alteration messed with John's phenotype and not his genes, how can Jan get these special abilities? (And people, please don't chime in with the sterile argument and make sure you full explain the low libido argument. Sterility was never a risk, and the low libido may not even apply to any SPARTAN. It's a valid concern, but not an argument buster.)

Also, though it doesn't mean much, the guy's not John James. He's James James, though we KNOW (from Durga) that the name's fake.

Then there is the evactuation of Troy, which can place reasonably close to the .wavs. After all, it seems the COM (cantankerous old man) experiences the same comm net collapse that Kamal did. But, that connection is a bit tenuous.

Then there is the appearance of the Apocalypso, which sets people on edge. Why? Because they thought it was a Covenant ship.

As to the voice being different, I didn't hear any difference. It seemed the same in both the short trailer and the gameplay movie. But, heh, YMMV.

And the audio files AREN'T centered around Jan. Not as far as I can see. Each of the three threads, though not entirely seperate, seem each valid.

Anyway, I'll let you look over these point, and see what you come up with. I, personally, have come round to the idea that the .wavs are set during the Covenant war. Earlier, though, I had started a topic debating the possibility that the .wavs took place before the war, but it seems unlikely now.

Jan's father is James James, not John James. That's why he's called James Squared.

And I still hold that no character in ILB will be the MC.

1. That is weird no doubt about it.
2. Almost every special forces soldier can do that and i am sure that if you got the procedure, you could do it too.
3. Criminals, anyhting. They could be anyone.
4. So, you have to remmeber there are tons of SSF teams prolly. We have quite a few now let alone in the future. Doesnt mean it is SPARTANs.
5. My grandfather never wanted to talk about WWII. Also, he never said he didnt want to talk about hte war. He said he didnt want to talk about his time in the service.

Also, that video you saw with hte very robotic voice, that wasnt a halo 2 trailer. It was the original Halo 1 E3 trailer. Commonly mistaken with a Halo 2 trailer because it has MC weilding a sword, and many uetral animals. But no, the MC from H1 is almost undoubtedly the one that will be in H2.

In the e3 trailer for Halo 2, the one that takes place in the city, there are three other soldiers in the Pelican along with the MC. These soldiers are wearing different gear and seem to be more disciplined/well trained than most of the soldiers in the area. This could just be because they are part of an elite unit such as the Helljumpers, but I think it is likely that these are soldiers who have had similar enhancements to the ones that Jan apparently has. I don't think any of the specific characters, such as Jan herself, will be in Halo 2. But I wouldn't be surprised if the MC is helped by enhanced soldiers from whatever program spawned Jan.

I thought that those soldiers were Helljumpers. Maybe not though.

I understood that they were ODST also (commonly referred to as "Helljumpers"):

Linkage: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven

My bad, trout me hard.

I just thought it was odd seeing ODST and the MC working so closely together, because of how all the ODST seem to hate the SPARTAN-II program.

ODST'd are professionals. With the exception of the occasional officer in the novels who wanted to scrub the SPARTAN-II program for the things that the SPARTANs have been ordered to do that has humiliated the ODST troops.

In my opinion, most ODST's are willing to use any weapon given them in the defense of the mission, the Earth and Mankind.

SPARTAN-IIs qualify as a weapon.
