[SPEC] Theories re:time travel, apocalypso, crystal correct

Reversing Key_lime.wav yields a conversation about the Apocalypso crashing out of slipspace into lunar orbit (like the previous reciepe3 wavs say)

This leads me to believe our theories about the time-travel and the apocalypso being melissa ship are correct.... also the fact that he says "it wasn't just a ship" at the end lends evidence to that.

So, forerunner crystals in the container (Osim.. forgot the word, the material needed to contain the crystals) Forerunner crystals do funny things in the slipstream.

These are all trout theories (Touched on before by me and a number of different people) but with the new wav (reversed) gives them new life with evidence.

Edited to add tag-vpi
EDIT - Changed topic from "Well, I think we're correct now" to something more descriptive and, well, topical. - SG

Just a question.

If Melissa came through to ILB at the moment the Apocolypso crashed out of the slipstream, then how would she get files of conversations that were created after the crash?

Through her metaphysical connection to Durga, who remained in the future. I'm feeling pretty confident about the SPEC that Durga's tangents re: bees are due to ILBMelissa "influencing the source".

How do you see this lending evidence to the time-travel theory? At anything it's added evidence against that, because we would expect Melissa to end up wherever the ship did, and thats still in the future. I think something happens later on that ends up sending the ship, or possibly just melissa and the rest of the gang, back in time. This will probably be revealed through the wavs.

I think this is evidence that they know about the AI thats infecting the Earth's computer net and causing all the glitches. Either that or they found out about the Forerunner artifact.

Bungie has pretty much always kept to science fiction which makes me think they wouldn't do something "metaphysical" to explain the connection across time. I still think the time travel occurs later, and sends these clips along with it.

It's certainly interesting, but I don't think the simple mentioning of bees gives any weight to the idea that Durga and Melissa are connected through time in a way that they can exchange any sort of data with eachother.

She can barely transmit to payphones, how is she able to maintain an I/O connection to the future?

As I've said before, I don't think Melissa finding and influencing the source reffers to transmissions to the future. I think it's pretty clear on about.html that she's talking about our voices when we answer the phones.

If she was talking about transmitting to the future, why would she be using payphones? Why not satellites, cel/radio towers, or parabolic dish antennae?

I agree that Durga's mention of bees is significant. But it could just be that an intrest in bees is funtion of the type of AI that they are. (Like favorite game.)

Which makes me wonder how can one be obsessed with bees and Spin the bottle Hide and seek at the same time? I mean, that doesn't go well together, does it?

The problem with the bee thing is, it can work either way...

Durga starts sputtering off about bees because of melissa's infestation of ilb.com... reading facts learned from the site etc.

OR

Melissa (before the accident) had a fascination of bees to begin with, which is why she infested the ilb.com website..

pretty interesting

I will continue my analysis and attempt to influence the source.

My original thinking is that these were all previously inaccessible Melissa-memories, ie. that after Melissa left her ship, and was Durga for a while, and jumped through time to ILB, she took a lot of reconstruction before she could access her memory banks - maybe on a different server.

But the phrasing of the above seems to suggest the ILB-Melissa is being FED the snippets, and passing them on to us, and she's also trying to find out who's feeding her. Another AI on another server? A sub-program of Melissa she forgot about? The Flea?

OR

Flea, having seperated these AIs from the real personality (which is why they can't "see" themselves or remember their name) uses bees as a distraction for whenever they try to "reflect".
