Main Entry: nom de guerre
Pronunciation: "näm-di-'ger
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural noms de guerre /"näm(z)-di-/
Etymology: French, literally, war name

PS, guerre is not pronounced the same as fairy.

Sorry, but in french, "Iron" is "Fer", not "Ferre"

and it doesn't rhyme with fairy.
Also, in "nom" you don't pronounce the "N", so it doesn't rhyme with mom.

Does it sound like Fairy?

So we have pencil instead of wabe, and for wabe we've got...

Wabe is a word invented by Lewis Carroll and used in his poem Jabberwocky. In Through the Looking-Glass, Humpty Dumpty explains that a wabe is the plot of grass around a sundial.

Humpty Dumpty, you say?

So could this be a way for us to construct a sundial and the rest could be when to look at it or something?

Yes, but it's not used so literally:

from hyperdictionary.com-

Quote:
NOM DE GUERRE
Definition:
[n]  a fictitious name used when the person performs a particular social role

Synonyms:
anonym, pseudonym

See Also:
name, nom de plume, pen name, stage name

As I told Johnny_Nitro, we don't pronounce the "M" in "non". Also, "guerre" is pronounced "guer" so it doesn't rhyme with "fairy".
I think this lead is no good...

[SPEC] Mom sounds like bomb, "knock out gas"? Perhaps we're being given directions for defeating Melissa's countermeasures and avoid her "shockingly excessive force"?

Crikey, Harry rhymes with fairy over there?! But it makes sense (though I'm not 100% on the Dick... never thought I'd hear myself saying /that/...)

I was thinking that 1,1 could be 1st word, 1 syllable, and after looking up rhymes for all the words I came out with "commissary", which is a word that means an officer or someone of superior power. Wild guess though.

Please re-read the pronunciation above. The "m" is pronounced.

Also please note I added a PS after you hit quote, but before you hit submit.
