For the question of why these are secret waves, I think it was written somewhere else in the forum that these clips reveal that there was an evac of Troy. If this information were released, the Covenant would know ONI had cracked their communication code.

But since the SP has sneaked the waves out to us, what will that mean overall?

Sounds like time for the Covenant to switch over to Navaho.
