The background noise in some parts sounds like a regular repeating pattern. It could be wheels on the ground, or another sound image. Who has those tools that were used to pull images out of the 40hz files?

Brief hello - coming out of lurk mode, drug into this game by the Ron calls after checking out his original VM box at TT in a moment of idle curiosity.


I was in the chat channel, and dropped a bit of spec when people were trying to puzzle out whether to trust this recording as actually from Randall Thomas - there was a bi of confusion at the sudden change of character from the formal and authoritative persona presented in the e-mails.

I think it's really was Randall. Randall Thomas was a "tool". He had been handed the "Ron Daubert" case as an internal security affair. The webmaster, with access to very sensitive and time-critical information, books, taking some of it with him.

Attempting to investigate turned up a whole network (us) of people who more or less talked and acted like computer hackers, which probably confirmed the worst fears of someone in his position. This caused a second round of more intense research on Randall's part, trying to locate anything that could be used to track Ron down and prevent him from using/selling whatever information he had purloined from the company. He starts a tenative but rough dialogue with some of the "hackers" who claim to have information in the hopes that one or more may provide a much-needed lead.

Unfortunately, for Randall, this reasearch turned up information on the dreadhouse incedent. If I was writing this story it would have involved finding hints from outside the company that lead him to what he thought was poorly secured information, proof of wrongdoing, from within the company.

The problem, of course, was that the information wasn't well secured, but it was under observation by elements within the company whose job it was to close leaks just like this one. This leads us pretty neatly up to the fateful phone call, and where we stand now.

R.I.P Randall Thomas.

OK, i've been saying this in chat, and i'll say it here now. we have NO REASON, none, to believe that TT was burnt down other than someone said they heard it in the sound file, and suddenly a lot of people who hadn't heard it before now do {power of suggestion anyone?}. People have also been saying that the moaning in the background is really sheep, and that it's proof it's a cult performing a tirual with Randy's body. I don't hear any flames, and i don't hear any sheep. If you do, great... but the fact that we have different people hearing different things already makes it impossible to use our hearing as proof. People have said "well, the servers are down" obviously, they are not, especially since now TT no longer even says "unavailable" but something along the lines of we are reconstucting our website....

The line, about fire, was ED's was of showing us something else in a puzzle that was ALREADY solved. No one cared when it was shakespeare. no one {aside from PK, and i think he was kidding, althought i could be wrong - i often am} said "hey, maybe he was inlove with someone who died in DH..." or anything about it. But mention something even slightly "demented" or "dangerous" and suddenly it has to have two meanings. it can't just be a part of a puzzle anymore, now it has to mean he's gone psycho and is goign to go back to the people he's been hiding from, break into the building, attack randy with camera's and security not noticing, and burn the place down. I'm sorry, it just doesn't make sense to me. And i hope, it no longer makes sense to anyone else.

Not so much a pool. But it didn't sound like an office to me. I sounded deep. Alot of echos, maybe tunnels. I just don't think Randell Thomas is being completly honest with us. But that is just my opinion.

I don't think he drove all the CMH and went into the tunnels just to call Ron. But nice spec.
