New website - www.strangerthanfictionmagazine.com

Just found this by accident, and it seems pretty in-game, but maybe not.

I found it because Pixie mentioned the GMH story on UrbanMythology had a pic and I saw it was linked from there.

Going through the archives, looking for interesting stuff, I thought I might've stumbled onto a hint that the secret society would be the Lazarus Society.

But, the story mentioned in the heading "Click Here for Pride, gluttony, envy" is a true one. Here's a similar story, which seems completely out of game.

Oh, but THIS is good.

This oughta be interesting......
Shocked

And, here's something that links to the bloody finger dream:

specifically, so people can follow along, i noticed on the UM archives for this week that the newest three entries had stars next to them. i personally hadn't remembered ever seeing them before. I asked, and some people weren't sure. so we just brushed it aside. then later, i was looking thru the past entries, to reread one of them, and noticed "Haunted Hotels" had a star next to it too. i though "oooo, a hidden message" and was dissapointed, but the picture caught my eye. So i asked around if that was the picture that had always been there... and runge took it from there.

The new site has 4 articles having to do with GMH
an article on Dream machines
and article on Masons
and more!

Could the insomnia mentioned in one of the stories be attributed to infrasound?
Oh, by the way, here's that story: http://www.strangerthanfictionmagazine.com/stories/gmh04.html

Original picture that was used for the Dream Machine and an article can be found here.

Here is info on Victor Noir (the well endowed statue).

Not the actual source, but confirmation about the Mason shooting.

What the hell? Dream Machine is real?

I woould have thought for sure that it would be linked to "Dream Projector"

It has a 22% success rate- very impressive.

The difference is that Dream Machine is used to create dreams, while Dream Projector shows the dreams a person is actually having.

Close in nature, but polar opposites in practice Smile

Yeah, I can confirm the basics of the Freemason story, except that it wasn't actually a Fellow Craft degree meeting, it was a group of masons using the lodge for their own personal club, which they called "The Fellow Craft Club"

Everything else seems correct, and even what they got wrong was gotten wrong by most, including the media.

It also led to the NYS Grand Lodge changing the rules for Masons meeting at lodges when there is not a meeting going on, which effectivly ruined my pre-meeting book discussion group.

Ack... Sounds scandalous.

"Some people say" that the whole problem with such clubs is that there are people who are just trying to compete for power, rather than sharing it among the members in specified portions.

If one would use the metaphor of Pirate Ships, it's easily seen that drive for unequal power leads to things like mutiny and mayhem.

C'est la vie.
