[SPEC] Phase 3 Monologue

Since I didn't see a thread really discussing this, I decided to make one. Trout me if necessary.

I was reading through the monologue on the wiki and I noticed some very familiar quotes. Here they are, and where I think they came from. Chime in at anytime.

Quote:
And I, // behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you.

That's from the Bible. I want to say Moses or Abraham. I don't have the means to look it up right now.

Quote:
Quantitas Materiae est mensura ejusdem orta ex illius Densitate & Magnitudine conjunctim.

No idea. Looks Latin to me.

Quote:
Cogito ergo sum.

Rough translation: "I think, therefore I am." Again, if anyone knows the exact people then you would get an e-cookie from me.

Quote:
L'etat c'est moi

Napolean said this. Translated, it mean "I am the state."

Quote:
Maxwell's electrodynamics--as usually understood at the present time--when applied to moving bodies, leads to asymmetries which do not appear to be inherent in the phenomena. It has not escaped our notice that // the specific pairing we have postulated immediately suggest a copying mechanism. Shaw and Fujikawa's seminal Gravimagnetic resonant induction of stable causal paths between analogic D-branes, J. Higher Dim. Phys. 49, 264-575 (2079)

Yeah, there were periods in there, but I grouped it all together since it all applies to the Halo-verse. All of the human ships have a Shaw-Fujiwaka jump unit onboard all of the ships so they are able to slip into subspace (slipspace, whatever). That's all I have for now.

The people at Wiki have analysed that, so you can see to http://bees.netninja.com/wiki/index.php?title=Phase_3-Monologue_Analysis, and do a Find In Page... for "quantitas" or something.

I suppose, though, we could discuss here.
When I read "It was adrift in space: a squat cylinder of dull gray metal" upon visiting the about.html page, I thought of Rama from Arthur C. Clarke's novel Rendezvous with Rama. Indeed, the cylinder is small (see the Wiki site), but still...

Abraham, when he offered up his son as a sacrifice to god.

I have no knowledge of Latin, but I did use Google and Webster quite well.
I came up with this:

"Quantitas Materiae est mensura ejusdem orta ex illius Densitate & Magnitudine conjunctim. Cogito ergo sum. L'etat c'est moi."

my rough translation:

"Quantity Material must be measured of the same source of their Density & Magnitude conjunction. I think, therefore I am. The state, it is I."

How is that?

EDIT:

Nm. It's here.
