I don't know if this has been connected yet but, on the wiki, i noticed there was a blurb about an email update from the staff at the Gold Mine Hotel, part of which says the following:

Quote:
There were also some sealed off rooms found within the hotel that seemingly have no purpose whatsoever. It's been whispered that they could be the result of the hotel's spree as a private resort in the late 1930s when, rumor has it, it was home to some sort of mysterious hush-hush association. The Masons have a well documented history of being heavily involved in the area at that time, but it could just as easily be the result of past remodeling efforts.

Does that possibly link TheSeventhSons to the Gold Mine Hotel?

Yes it does, but this link already existed - the tilework found on the "renovations" page at GMH is the SS logo...

Thats odd, the background is still green, but now the image is stored in a simpler location, compared to my last post.

Now, they are just reusing the same logo image with transparency.

The green background is achieved with this HTML tag:

Quote:
<body bgcolor="#009933">

Gues it's easier than making a new image each time.

By the way, looking at a color chart, why did they use that exact shade of green?

For me, it would be a lot easier to just say bgcolor="green".

They have been using the same image since the Fourth Image (The yellow one). But the location of that image has moved around a bit.

Using the hex values rather than the color names is more cross browser compatible.

And even though all modern browsers can understand the color names just fine, many Web authors (myself included) are just in the habit of always using the hex values, even when there is a color name equivalent.

One one other thing worth noticing is that the color values have also been pretty traditional. Traditional, or color safe, Web colors always consist of combinations of the following character pairs: 33 66 99 CC FF. (I'll spare you the gory details of why this is. If you're really interested, Google on Color Cube for the complete history.)

Basically, the HTML looks very ordinary, so I don't think the puzzle is in the code here - I think it's more likely in the colors themselves.

And the new color is... PURPLE!

And... we can enter....

I'm making a thread in Puzzles now, I'll link to it in a seccond.
