[SPEC] Flea & Earth's Location

Well, if the Flea really was looking for Earth's location, it just got it.

In the reach_is_gone Axon message, a character distinctly says that Reach is 10.5 lightyears from Earth. The Covenant obviously knows where Reach is, because they glassed it. So, draw a rough sphere round Reach, radius 10.5 lightyears, and look for any starsystems with a planet.

Et voila, now the Flea knows Earth's location...

Was this the truth that it was seeking, or no? If it was, presumably it will try to get the information to Covenant intelligence.

We've assembled a list of axon clips here:

That particular clip came from puzzles solved today.

The Covenant didn't need the Flea to find Earth. The Covenant already had a list of planets that Forerunner installations existed on. Reach was one, so was Earth, as well as a few other not so well know none human inhabited worlds.

All this info is in First Strike. It was enevidable they'd find us.

Waaaaaaaaaait.

Did I miss that?

You've hit my pet theory, but not based on anything in the book. Care to reference where that shows up. It's possible I missed it. I read First Strike very fast. Care to offer a page reference?
