 		[QUESTION]Officers and Crew of the Apocalypso, Report!
I think it would be a good idea for all the available officers (i.e. those who answered a live call) to report in here. I'd like to take stock of who we have and try to see if there might be a pattern in here for live calls. Or at least get some sort of communication going on between us in case Melissa requests it.

If anyone does decide to report in, please state your name (the one you gave Melissa) and your rank.

 		She told me to take some initiative, too. I had asked what I could do for her, so she said, "I'm stuck here, all alone and All I get is you and your Questions! Take some initiative!" So I asked if I could tell her a story. So I told her a story about my little sister when she was in the hospital having spinal fusion. She started crying her "I love bees" like she was sad, so I told her it was okay. How my little sis is lined up for valedictorian this year at graduation. "She needed the implants to make her strong. Now she's stronger than I am."

That was familiar to her for some reason, she didn't know why (Kamal's sister I realize now?). That was it.

*note* She called me Ensign, but gave me no task. I don't think everyone gets a task right away. She said she'd call me every week, though. And that THEN she'd have tasks for me.

No, this is not for Failures Anonymous. Actually, all the officers are NOT listed on Recipe 1. We've got at least one Leutenant, named Adam and myself as Ensign Dragonrider who aren't on the list, but were told that Melissa would call every week. Sorry.

No! Dragonrider is one example of one who made contact but is not listed. It appears that more calls were made by Melissa than there were clips to open. I am in agreement with Dragonrider that it might be useful to know how many such there were. Faliures or not.

Cool new avatar though!

i answered the 11:47 PDT "not_anymore" axon. i'm listed below "brain_ninjas" on the recipe1 page - that makes me very glad.

i gave her my phone number, but was not given a task, secret or otherwise. unfortunately, i'm not a frequent enough poster to get my name spelled right. serves me right, i guess. no love for lurkers.

 		Master Chief Chappy here, one of Melissa's successful "axon spikes" today. Here's how the call turned out (this is from a fuzzy memory, I had no recording device):

Melissa: Don't hang up... communication difficulties... I need to know I can trust you. What is my favorite game?
Me: Hide and Seek. Hide and Seek.
Melissa: That's the right answer, but how do I know you're not a recording?
Me: I live and breathe.
Melissa: You live and breathe? That's not enough.
Me: I'm real, I can give you dynamic responses; ask me a question
Melissa: What is you favorite game?
Me: Spin the bottle.
Melissa: Spin the bottle? How do you play that?
Me: You form a circle, boy - girl - boy - girl and put an empty bottle in the center. Somebody spins the bottle and wherever it lands, that's who he kisses.
Melissa: Fine. What do you know about the rogue?
Me: The rogue? She's watching you.
Melissa: How do I know you're not working for the rogue?

That's all I can remember, it was actually quite exciting, but I wasn't thinking straight... I'm thrilled that I got the "real" Melissa, it took many days to find the right phone in the Gallery Smile The call did sound a bit different, either the actress did a great job of sounding like a machine, or the machine did a great job of sounding like an actress; I couldn't tell you 100% that it was a person on the other end of the phone, but I'm leaning that way. Melissa did not swear me to secrecy or ask me to do anything special as she apparently did xnbomb, and others.

Throughout my conversation I found it difficult to her Melissa due to phone volume and background noise. I frequently had to ask her to repeat things; she did, rephrasing them each time and speaking louder.

Melissa asked me for my name and rank first. I gave her my name, MikeWas, and spelled it although she did not request a spelling. She asked me for a rank. I told her "Commander." She then asked for a favorite game - due to background noise, I assumed she meant hers, and so I said "hide and seek." She then said that she had lost her memories and wanted me to tell her of a time I felt lonely. I described to her my anguish at getting punted on three different calls earlier in the day. She acknowledged that I was a real human.

Chappy mentioned a "rogue" in his summary, and Melissa seemed concerned about that in her conversation to me as well.

She asked me for a way to communicate directly, which I gave, and asked my permission to replay recorded conversations to the rest of the crew, which I also gave.

I was not assigned a particular task nor did she swear me to secrecy on anything we discussed today, although it seems there may be confidential things discussed in the future.

 		I answered 15:25 crates_and_a_dolly and gave my rank as Ensign.

Ensign Kamen had to jump through a few hoops, including:

- Coughing when eating and drinking wasn't good enough

- Telling a couple of jokes about cows and bees

- Telling a story about revenge.

- Describing the difference between 'fast food' and 'slow food'.

- Confirming my name, post, and contact information.

- ...agreeing to do something. I still need details about it...

 		New player here; hello everyone. I met Chappy tonight and he pointed me in this direction. I picked up the 15:47 call in northern virginia, and got the "real" Melissa, but I screwed it up:

Operator: what's my favorite game?
Me: hide and seek.
Operator: that's the right answer, but how do I know you're not a recording?
Me: ask me anything.
Operator: I'm lost, I'm alone, and you want me to help you?
Me: no no no, I'm trying to help you!

I'm going back tomorrow to try again; the Axon didn't go hot, so if nothing else it needs to go hot.

Correction. That was me, and I was NOT told she would call. I gave her my number, she repeated it back. I said "that's correct" and she went into "I love bees" and hung up.
