[SPEC] Kamal's Sister

After doing some reading on the Halo Library, I have found something interesting. I think we are going to find that Kamal's Sister was actually used as the basis for the A.I. known as Kalmiya. It would be a good twist, and it would add another character that combines all the Halo storylines.

It's possible, but I've seen spec like this before.

A great idea, but unless it can be grounded in the text, it usually comes to naught.

Which isn't to say that you can't, just that you didn't seem to in this first post.

To tell you the truth, I'd be sad if Kalmiya turned out to be Kamal's sister. She really deserves better.

And, just on a style note, why do the storylines have to merge?

I'd be just happy if Master Chief, or anyone who knew Master Chief personally, stayed away from the ARG.

But that's just me.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I believe Kalmiya was one of the AI's created from flash clones of Dr. Halsey's brain. She was the prototype Cortana (so to speak), before Cortana became the perfected intrusion AI, and then Halsey used "her" as her personal assistant once Cortana was off on her missions.

Are you sure?

I used to believe the same thing, until this post made me go back and read relevent passages in First Strike.

Since the process that eventually created Cortana was fraught with failure, I've since come to the interpretation that Kalmiya was, in fact, an AI created from dead brain. No chance of flash clone failure.

She was the "prototype" Cortana, but that doesn't mean that she was created from the same brain as Cortana. It makes as much sense if she was some random smart AI.
