Looks like the flea is trying to find her how do you know that?
The Flea writes in white text, and in this case it's on white background.
If you go to the 404 page the text is at the very bottom.
Just highlight everything on the page and you'll see it.

Could the 'recurse' be a clue of some sort? Meaning to keep trying?
Wow, that's some bad grammer. I tried several variations of trying to find princess.html, sleeping_princess.html, dungeon.html, and brig.html. Any other ideas?

I was thinking of her stories. Maybe there's a clue in there somewhere?
I tried things like http://www.ilovebees.com/red_balloon.html and ...perdita.html and stuff, to see if they led to her new hiding place, but so far no luck.

I tried http://www.ilovebees.com/glass_coffin.html
and
http://www.ilovebees.com/glasscoffin.html
but neither worked.
I miss the Sp already.

Given the memory damage I have incurred, it is difficult for me to know for sure if the people with whom I have come in recent contact are members of my original crew, the crew of other vessels who find themselves also shipwrecked like myself, or new recruits who have come to understand the vital importance of our primary mission, which is to seek out, behold, and reveal the truth.
Is this the first instance of Melissa taking the Flea's primary mission as her own? There's nothing about evading and resisting anymore...
Or, should I heat up the grill because I'm gonna be cooking trout?

This is it! as Royal Knights or whatever it is we're calling ourselves we have to take action!
Except... unless there's more hidden text (other than the co-ords) I doubt we'll be able to do anything until the SP herself tries to make contact.
Now, further to my earlier suggestion, if we do find where the SP is hiding, SHOULD WE KEEP IT SECRET FROM THE OFFICERS?!

Given Weephun's penchant for the truth perhaps we should? but i believe the SP is in custody and we may need to focus on getting Melissa to talk with and work with SP in the future after the PF situation is resolved.

If Melissa is listening to or even trusting the crew listed, then perhaps it is in their hands to free SP.
Should Weephun, Shad0 and the others try to warn Melissa about the Flea?
It would defiantly risk their status as crew, but it may have big payoffs.
I get the feeling that a direct request to free SP would NOT be well received.
Any ideas for the crewmembers to try?

Hey guys. I too have emailed the princess last night offering my services. Didn't request any specific rank. Now I arrive this morning to see the new 404. Not good. So what do we do?

I may be wrong I may be wrong, but I don't think connecting to the box is the right way to go here. I think recurse may mean something about archived pages? Recursing time?
That is totally spec, but I think there is something hidden we arent seeing "yet".
(On a side note, I sent her an email, and I am now Iron Chef!)

i agree, there's got to be a clue pointing to her location somwhere.... like i said, telnet and ftp were no good.... neither was https
what other ports/protocols am i missing?
and where is the Master Dork, Captain of the Guard?

The 'Recurse' in the Flea's mantra just means that it's continuing to execute the 'seek Princess' operations. I don't think it's a hint.

From what I can tell, our actions had nothing to do with the SP gone AWOL. I think it had to do with the "crew" remaining in-game and telling the Operator what she wanted to know (and I don't think that is a bad thing necessarily in terms of the whole picture).
Now, we wait. I'm personally looking for any of SP's hidden messages, and I'm checking my email constantly for a reply.
On another note, it seems as though Melissa wants this situation to be us vs. them. Does anyone else get that feeling?
