 		Perdita's Story
I think the key to finding where the Princess may be is in her story. To be honest, I haven't given it much thought previously, but now it seems pretty important.

Perdita's name sounds like it's derived from the Latin root meaning "lost" and certainly SP is lost to us right now. I would suggest everyone taking another look at the story and see if we can come up with a meaning or metaphor that the story fits.


Another question. Melissa says:

Action:
I have been suppressing certain voices from the awareness of this process/personality.

Does this mean that she successfully hid some clips from SP that SP never found? Or does she still think that the recipe3 clips are hidden and doesn't know we found them?

i took this to mean that she was hiding them from DURGA, Jersey doesn't seem to be listening in on Ronnie for some reason

I get the feeling she is hiding the presence of the Flea. It is probably the Flea's influence pushing her to keep him hidden.
Durga may recognize the flea as a "rouge Process" or perhaps something else.

I re-read the line and changed my mind.
It does seem like the Queen is hiding certain clips from Durga.

Yes, rereading the whole monologue, it seems like Durga is the one the clips are hidden from.

Interestingly, if you compare the bit in Durga's clips about reflecting and trying to see herself, it lines up nicely with Perdita's story. Maybe that's why the Queen is hiding clips from her - to keep Durga from seeing herself and becoming irretrievably lost. Wonder why the queen would do that?

My own SPEC here. I still believe the PF to be a Covie AI and the SP to be a Forerunner one. That makes it logical that the PF would try to !attach the SP in order to convert and corrupt her like he's done with Melissa. Think of how much better their computer systems would be if they could control a Forerunner AI.

 		please pardon my lack of knowledge... I am not versed in Halo mythos, but I thought our tech level was a bit below the covies? Then how could the queen capture a forunner A.I. that the flea could not. I really do not pretend to know anything, thus the reason for my post, I expect a good education on this, and have started reading materials to ge familiar with setting. Smile

I think that what I mainly want to put out for consideration is that we dont know if PF is trying to be helpfull or harmfull to either Melissa or SP. He is searching for her just as we are so he cant be in compleat control of Melissa or he would already know where she is.

 		Good point daboking. this helps me believe that the PF may be trying to fix things by reincorporating the SP with melissa, as he was trying to do but SP wouldn't let him. now that she is locked up and he can't find her this makes it all the more difficult for PF. I wonder if we should be trying to have melissa get rid of the flea or be trying to convince her to get PF, SP and her all together in one place and talk things out.

Or perhaps she is not as "locked-up" as the Queen thinks.
Perhaps the SP escaped and the Flea noticed?
Perhaps she was never really caught in the first place.
The Queen seems fairly deep in the Flea's control from her other posts.

Our technology is behind theirs cause they had the FOrerunner artifacts to build off of. Our AI's are much more advanced they their are, which is why Cortana was so easily able to hack their systems. Even in the game she talks about how their commnet isn't that well encrypted. It wasn't until they experienced the potential of our AI's first hand that they started to develop their own, and that seems to be based off some of our lesser AI's also.
