Perhaps the Flea is starting to wonder if his objective is the right one. What is the truth, what isnt, and so on. Will we gain a new ally through this loss of one? It's interesting that's for sure, and I'm pissed off that I didn't get the email. -_- *grumbles* I got the last two...

Anyways, perhaps this is just the thing we needed to push the story line enough to give us some more info before the end of the game to solve everything. Perhaps we're on the right track with the three swords theory. Maybe someone at an axon could try saying "Joyeuse" after Melissa breaks down. Might work, might not. Anyways, could someone try it?

That is weird, HHM. I get nothing...

I didn't get an autoreply, at least not yet anyways.

I think that the syntax is slightly wrong here. Looking over the conversation htmls, it seems that you would write

Net:
!handshk seeker
Behold:
extern proc 0
Reveal:
!label Astald
Reveal:
Astald > seek
Astald
seek >> princess
Astald > seek
fail
Astald > seek
recurse

And then try writing a message in english. Maybe.

HHM I haven't gotten the message again and I've emailed her twice. Falcon that's an intersting idea. Perhaps the flea will deviate from his orginal objective (assuming it was malicious) to help us out, becaues he was starting to like the princess.

Don't forget why he was trying to attach to her either. In one convo between the two of them, I clearly remember him saying that if he attached to her, he'd become a master sector. Isn't that interesting?

It also gives reason for why he wouldn't want her locked away. This tells me that though he may be influencing melissa, he's not in complete control of her. If he was, I don't think the sp would have been locked up.

He was trying to attach to her, and revealed that he was a master sector command process. One > denotes action, as in x > y means x does y, but two >> denotes explanation: x >> y means x is doing this for y, as in the case of

Princess
seek >> home

in lookingglass.html. (Edit:) However, looking over it again it seems that every instance of >> could also be used in those contexts as the future tense of >, so you're right as well.

Hmmm...I got it wrong apprently. I could have sworn he was saying that he'd become one if he could attach to her though.

An if he was a master sector, wouldn't he be able to speak english like the other two master sectors we know? 'Course if he's a convenant program, he might not be able to, but something tells me he may not be.

He said he was a cmd proc, not a master sector. So, he's just a program, not an operating system.

Should we try teaching him English? It worked for the Sleeping Princess, it might work again.

OK this is what I sent the flea:

Quote:

behold:
seeker

reveal:
!label Ranger D

!hndshk seeker

!label Princess >> Aurora
!seek >> Aurora
recurse

Pretty simple actually. Let me know if my syntax is wrong, I'm not a coder. Smile

SP already tried that, though: (i.e. gretel.html) Perhaps we should be bilingual in our messages - sending PF english and identical code - to help him learn that way. It seemed to work for the SP with gretel.html.

Hehe, I'm not a coder either, but the syntax isn't really complex.

It should probably be:

Behold:
Princess
Ranger D > !label Aurora

But the problem is that with the syntax for program x saying what another program is doing seems to change during the course of one conversation. However, you label whatever you last referenced.

Hey, you're right. But how would we do it? It's hard enough trying to teach another human being english, let alone someone who doesn't speak a language at all.

More info that convinces me that the name of the SP is from the Sleeping Beauty story:

-An old witch/fairy/the queens mother comes to the birthing ceremony of the SP after having learnt that she was not invited. She puts a curse on the Princess at this time.
-After 14-16-17 years, the princess is running through the castle. She runs up a tower where she finds an old woman on a spindle, which the princess pricks her finger on. The old woman turns out to be the witch/fairy/queens mother in disguise.
-Could pricking her finger on the spindle be like a bee sting, which Durga seems to dish out a lot?
-At the birthing ceremony, the crib is laced with rubies and diamonds. I believe these appear in the SP's story of the Widow's repairing of the Queen, but I am unsure.
-When Aurora (the princess) pricks her finger, her parents are away (could coincide with the facts about the SP's parents.)
-The witch/fairy/queens mother had lived in a tall tower for 50 years, never coming out before the day they cursed Princess Aurora.
-Princess Aurora is 17 when she pricks her finger. "Smart" AI's can only live to 7. If the SP is based off Sleeping Beauty, this does make her much older than the Flea or Melissa.
