Nope, 1-415-527-6463 (1-415-JASMINE) is not in service.
Still getting only rings on 1-415-927-6463...hoping, hoping....
[SPEC] Make calls to this number while the "crew" are speaking "live" to Melissa.
Seems like we're reversing the tables. First we were confusing Melissa so that SP could sneak in to the Queen's territory. Now we're confusing Melissa so that SP can sneak out. [/SPEC]

Well, if the phone call Tues is live, I'll see if I can use my newfound position of trust to see if I can find out exactly where "locked up" is.
I also plan on checking to see what Melissa plans to do now with the SP and try to make her realize the influence the PF has over her. We'll see how it goes.

Oi, mate. Be careful. You are probably Melissa's most trusted crew member right now. You could be right back to square one.

I think DarkStorm is suggesting that "Perdita" might be a name we could try calling (as in "Tell them to call my name!"). Sounds to me as if it's worth a shot.
Cool, anyone tried calling 1-415-PERDITA? That is 1-415-737-3482 (Oooh, look at all those 3s and 7s!)

Either that or call it when Melissa 'falls apart' - but during one of the live conversations seems like a good place to start. You know, it's times like this I wish I wasn't on the other side of the world to the axons.
I think there should be a list of all the things people are going to try if they get a live conversation with Melissa, so we don't repeat some names being spoken/called.

I posted some more research in the original thread here on page 9, and I have no intention of repeating so many characters.
These two threads should be joined, or more definitively divided.

I tried 1-415-737-3482 and got nothing. After it told me I had the wrong number it said something else really fast, but I couldn't catch it and don't know if it's relevant. Anyone else wanna try it and see what they get?

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I was under the impression that the e-mail thread in the intereaction sub-forum was for analysis rather than puzzle solving.
I think if we had two threads running at once (one for phones and one for e-mail) we could definitely streamline our investigations. Could we perhaps move the e-mail thread to the puzzles page?

yeah, I definitely agree that the currently active crewmembers should use their newfound trust to squeeze some info out of Melissa. but be careful not to piss her off. you heard how crazy she went on some of the calls when people started saying things that even REMOTELY resembled a question.
who knows? maybe she'll be more open this week, but my guess is that they don't have a voice actress that's steeped in the lore of the Haloverse or even necessarily ilovebees. so, they probably made it that Melissa doesn't like questions too much so that she didn't have to come up with answers to tricky questions and skew too far from canon.
my suggestion to you guys is coordinate your efforts. each person should have a specific tidbit that they're trying to get out of Melissa, something small, that, when compiled with what we learn from the other live calls will amount up to something much more useful. good luck!

Good stuff...could you post the meat of it here (what names from your work might apply, how you interpret the impact of that info)? Or you can PM me and I'll edit the appropriate names into my second post here.

Exactly what I had in mind. Like one thread being: "About the SP Email" and "Response to SP Email" or even subdivided catagories thereof. I posted in the other one because that's where the majority of the other responders were posting, because the first page had something along the lines of "Here's the email, what do we do about it?" and then digressed 8 pages beyond.
Getting the Princess' real name is very important to this game, IMO. For all we know, it could be "Jan". Ensuring that we all have the information in one spot will help the greater cause.

I think you're all on the wrong track. By "call my name" she could just mean say my name. But anybody talking to Melissa should try both. And if you end up talking to the SP the sound of her voice could reveal who she is...

I spent three months last year studying the history of "Sleeping Beauty".
Here's the meat of my posts:
1st known occurance: Sigmund's Story, Sigurd and Brynhild (SP)
1st known fairytale: The Sun, Moon and Talia (SP)
The "Sleeping Princess" conversion first occured with a Russian play, and Aurora (SP) was the name. Also in it: Carabosse (Mel) is the first known name for the Evil Queen.
What I didn't mention in the other forum is the Snow White scenario. Now there's your glass coffin. I don't think SP's real name has to do with fairy tales. Her stories are two crossed-over to merit that, in my opinion. I think it has to do with the clips more than anything. I emailed her the whole Talia story and called her Talia, because I find that one to be the most "hidden" Sleeping Beauty story, and I wanted to get it out of the way, but I don't think that's the right direction.

This has already been speculated. Please see page 1 for more information.

Digression seems to be a tendency in many of these discussions - especially when knowledge is limited.
I definitely agree with you about the need to find SP's 'real' name. It seems to have been a priority from the start, but until now we haven't had the total need to find it in order to progress the story. Hopefully we'll be able to turn something up.

Really, we can't get any of this stuff past the spec stage until tuesday. Until then, google is my new best friend.
And who knows, maybe help unlooked for will show up in the form of the flea. You never know huh?
