That was Kona, I think. [Edit by kona: nope, it wasn't me, I'm just here for the ride]

Well I analyzed the mp3 and plunked it out on my piano. I had all intentions of transcribing it (I had my manuscript paper and all!), but I've ultimately come to the conclusion that there isn't anything important in the individual notes of the song. It seems like an innocent enough warmup... I've never heard the specific one, but it sounds rather generic.
For those of you interested, it starts out on C with a root 3rd to root 5th, then it goes back from a root 5th to a root 3rd. Repeat. Then it shifts up half a key. Repeat.
Though it does vary a little, I attribute that to his lack of piano skillz.
I've tried looking through my Hanon books, but I'll keep looking. I think our biggest chance of it meaning anything is if we can correlate it with a title or something.

Could you post your transcription anyway DP? You never know what could be a puzzle.

Is it me, or does the cleave background seem to have upside down letters under the image of the child? I can easily make out a 2.

I've attached an image of the approximate animated background when it's laid out. I say approximate as I did it by hand so there may be a few pixels width difference where there was a blank stave. I don't think the spacing between the notes is important anyhow (I'll probably end up being wrong by saying this ).

I was looking at the MP3 in SoundForge and noticed that there are small "gaps" of silence between "blocks" of notes. Almost as if it was a code. Not the actual notes, but there are definite sounds, such as some that appear to be chords while others are one note at a time. Each block (except the last) ends with a single note.

So, back to 0 and 1's?
Single notes = 0 and multiple notes = 1????

i think on another thread theyre realized that the misaligned text represent piano keys...so the solve could involve putting the lines in order of what note they represent on a piano

The music puzzle (Melody) is being discussed here.
/me is keeping this thread open for discussion on the other pages of The Unraveling, just incase there were any red herrings or new findings from other other pages.

The poem on wearealsomighty.html led me to a new page:
I'm starting a new thread for this page at http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7065
*edit: added link to new thread for the puzzle on that page.

On rejoice.html, I have no idea what the leter grid means (Although I'm sure it has been used as an encryption by someone.
The highlighted letters are either
rutnedivihimaearo
or, if you count the me
rutnedivihimaearome
As far as I can tell, not anagram or ROT

Can you explain *how* you ended up with this new page?
Thanks.
I think after that, I can mark this thread [SOLVED] since it has branched off into other puzzles. I'll make sure there is a thread for discussing the website and SPEC on whom it is, over in General/Updates.

Quote:
And having a century of centuries passed,
As dazzling as the sun,
We will have as long to rejoice in God's great deeds
as when we'd first begun, at last!
A bit of a long shot but I tried anyway.
Maybe rejoice is the solution to another puzzle and we were not ment to go from here to there.
I'm sorry if I messed up the order of the puzzles we were supposed to take.
