Actually tommymcgrarh, You are partially right. In Ezekiel 1:1-26, Ezekiel describes seeing creatures with wheels instead of legs, four arms, and wings, among other attributes. These creatures also had four faces. The face of a man, an ox, a lion, and an eagle. This particular passage has always interested me because of the seemingly sciencefiction feeling of it.

Those traditionally represent the four writers of the Gospels in one of two patterns:

Matthew = man
Mark = lion
Luke = ox
John = eagle

Evidently, this stems from the order of the faces listed in the Ezekiel passage.

or

Matthew = lion
Mark = ox
Luke = man
John = eagle

which comes from the order of the beasts listed in Revelations 4:7.

Possibly, the teacher was referring to the fact that Christians did not think that the sun was the center of the solar system/universe, but rather, the earth was. *shrug* I'm no good with this stuff, I prefer encryption/decryption o_o

I can't help but think we're way overthinking this puzzle. It's probably something simple, and it's masked by the fact that they're giving way more information than we need to solve.
