This seems to be important. Get to thinking!

A flop is, of course, a hold 'em turn. Will we be seeing a hold 'em game against duece tonight to get the guard back? Perhaps, but I think we need to figure out his weakness first. And we're on a time constraint!

Just a random thought from a Beekeeper, but . . . judging by this guy's talk, he's pretty damned arrogant - and arrogance could be part his weakness.

He thinks he's got everything covered because he's so much better than anyone (or anyTHING) else in the universe - but it's possible that the critical flaw he missed is so damned simple a child of five could spot it. (Somebody fetch a child of five!)

Also, a "flop" could also be a reference to taking over the world gradually via the Internet - considering that "flop" is techie jargon for a "FLoating point OPeration".

Just my $0.04 (rounded up for inflation), and now I'd better rejoin the Army of the Sleeping Princess.

Ta ta, bach!

Wow, I go away for a wee while and when I come back you guys have challenged him to a game!

For those not on the Yahoo Group, here's his proposal..

Quote:

Let's change the rules a little bit. I'm getting sick of Hold 'Em.
Let's play some Blackjack.

Rules are it's a one on one battle between one of you ARFers, oh, I'm sorry, ARGers vs. one of my best... The Queen of Hearts...
She'll be glad to give you a game.

Rules:

Money won't matter. You bet us an access key, we'll bet you a part of the guard.

You win the hand and get more than the Queen, you'll get the guard.

We win the hand and the Queen gets more than you, we'll get your key.

The dealer wins, nothing happens and both bets go back to the party.

The game will start at 7:00 MST.

And don't give me that crap about knowing where Shadown's base is.
You have no clue. He he!

How the hell are we going to beat her? And who is going to take her on??? And when is 7pm MST?? So many questions!!

Edited because I somehow managed to have the Queen of Hearts down as a 'him'[/i]

On a hand-by-hand basis, I don't see how anyone can be.
Over the long run, though, I'm okay.

7MST is 8CST or 9EST, 3 hours before Project Gateway goes nuclear. Probably good that we're doing blackjack, we certainly don't have enough time to get the guard back one piece at a time via hold 'em. We just have to win five games, really- the question is how many of the keys we give them.... we have rather a few. One point: we need to plan the order that we'll bet the keys, and make sure we have them all in one place. Anyway, everyone be ready!

Not trying to rain on the parade but we could potentially loose all the keys and still not get the guard complete... I mean, no matter how good you are, Blackjack is a game of luck. Confused

But the bets are on, so I guess we have no other choice...

BTW, what's the link for the game? Is it the same as last time, the one that's on the forum?

we've decided (via IRC) that Bagsbee will play, and i'll sub for him if he can't make it. we think the game will be on Yahoo, as we haven't seen any reason why it wouldn't.
